Personality:Like Barry, Jay is an extremely selfless and brave man, a person who always wants to do good and would have sacrificed his own life so that another could have lived. But after being marooned on Earth-1 Jay lost his powers and had difficulty convincing the Flash of his world that in Earth-2 he was the Flash. He proves to be an expert in stealth as he stalked all of Team Flash without either of them noticing. He can be very reasonable as well, he realized that his story of there being different worlds was absurd and expected that Barry would have tested him although he was slightly agitated he still complained. It's not until the end where Barry realized that powers or not Jay is the Flash as he was going to fight the Sand Demon who was a meta-human to save Patty Spivot.
