Again, he warped up to the highest part of the ceiling, his piercing white eyes staring directly at Mindfang as he hid. Now to find her weak spot, which at the time appeared to be none.
This mission was of utmost importance. He could not fail. If he had even slipped up once, everything had the possibility of being ruined, like a game of Jenga. One small move and the tower topples. Though personally, the dog-carapace, who was named Jack Noir, preferred to think of it as though he was walking through a minefield.
From there he perched, waiting for the proper moment to strike.
