Washington made a noise at the mention of playing with York's hair but tried his best to dismiss it. He wasn't jealous. No, that'd just be ridiculous. Why would he be jealous that his best friend who he happened to love found someone better after he helped kill him. Why would he– no, what right did he have to be jealous? "Yeah, sounds pretty funny." he commented, having no idea what Maine just said because he'd gotten lost in his thoughts.

"You weren't even paying attention were you?" He asked with a raised brow.

Washington sighed and hung his head slightly "No, I wasn't" he admitted instantly.

"Dork." Maine rumbled in amusement as he continued to card his fingers through washington's hair, occasionally making a tiny braid in his hair whilst he wasn't paying attention.

"Old memories keep coming back, the bits and pieces I still have left art least.. And they're not bad ones, I just want to not think of them right now" Washington told him, hoping that Maine would understand which memories were resurfacing.

Maine rumbled a bit but nodded in understanding.

"How did you forget things that you don't want to but you have to?" Washington asked as he looked up at Maine, enjoying the feeling of his fingers in his hair.

"I have sigma for that since he keeps the other side and its memories cooped up and away." He responded.

Washington sighed and lightly nuzzled into Maine's side, enjoying being close to him. "Alright, maybe they'll go away when tonight.. If I can sleep."

"I think delta can help with that. Specially if he keeps york up again tonight. Cause he's been calculating a lot sine the trip over here, and wont tell anyone what he's calculating about, just 'something bad that will hopefully only be a probability'. Makes even me alittle nervous." He mumbled in response.
