"Really? I hope she's not ignoring you..." Sapphire mumbled.

Aisling nodded, "Yeah!"

"Alright... Take what you guys want. Those are the ones I've made so far." Stella nodded.

Luna rushed over and grabbed some pancakes.

Zane nodded slightly to Kendal.

Emerald shrugged. "Not like I care if she is."

Cole perked up. "Oo food!"

Kendal turned on his heel, disappearing back down the hallway.

"Bet you guys had no clue he's signed for the military." Cambria said.

"WHAT?!" Pixal dropped a can she was putting away, biting her lip when it dropped on her foot.

Zane looked at Cambria alarmed, "What?" He looked around for Kendal, then called out, "Kendal! Could you come back here for just a moment?"

Luna took a bite of her food then paused, "Not the taste I was expecting... What is this? I've never had this before! It's really good and I really like it!" She grinned.

"Yes food! They're Oreo pancakes. Made them up while you were... Eh, away..." Stella said. "Speaking of that, you didn't really say much about it..."

"Nothing to talk about?"

Sapphire shrugged, "Still..." She looked at Stella. "Not much to talk about that. Emerald got hurt... He's better now... Not fully healed... But anyway, we also met these dragon shifters. More twins, Will and Gill. Speaking of them, when do you think we'd see the again, Emerald?"

[kia.]

"Will called me earlier. Said Gill got the medical attention he needed." Emerald shook his head. "He said he would drop by sometime later."

"Dragon shifters?" Jay asked.

Cambria sat back, folding her arms and smirking. "Hmph." She huffed slightly. He'd get what was coming to him. He'd told her multiple times to bite her tongue, and she was getting tired of holding a secret.

Kendal leaned back into the main room. "Yeah?" He tilted his head. "What's up?" Apollo was no longer in his back, he'd let this brother in his room, occupied with a video compilation.

"That's good..." Sapphire nodded. She looked to Jay and shrugged, "Yeah. Dragon shifters. They can shift into dragons... Kinda. It's a bit more complicated than that."

Stella looked at Emerald, "You're hurt? I could take care of that if you wanted me to."

"Is it true that you have signed up for the military? Why did you not tell us?" Zane asked.

Emerald shook his head. "Na I'd rather deal with it. Tough it out." he looked at Sapphire. "Accept the two can be unstable. If not careful.."

The color drained from Kendal's face as he glared over at Cambria. "You said you'd bite your tongue!!"

Cambria waved a hand. "Time to talk. I've done enough of that."

Kendal brushed his hair back with a sigh a she glanced back over at his parents. "Yeah.. I did..I didn't think You guys would let me if I told you at the start of P.T."

Stella shrugged, "Alright then."

"Right. That's why it's a bit more complicated than just shifting into dragons." Sapphire nodded slightly.

"It would have been better if you had spoken to us before this. This is the kind of thing your mother and I would like to know before hand." Zane said. "Were you planning on telling us at the last minute? I hope you were not... Your safety is our prime concern which may be why you feel we would not have let you... But even so, you should tell us about these things."

[kia.]

"I kinda planned to tell you a week or so before boot camp." Kendal muttered. "Not that boot camp is dangerous or anything! I mean.. I'd just earn the title is all.."

"We wouldn't let you because we very well know you could walk out onto a battlefield that you won't return from!!" Pixal cried.

Emerald grabbed a few pancakes. "Yeah. If Will does swing by, he could explain better."

"Pixal, please calm down..." Zane shook his head. "I am glad that we know now. It would have been better if you had come to us to tell us about this... Telling us a week or two before boot camp would have been too close to when you would have had to leave..."

Sapphire nodded, grabbing some pancakes, "Yep..."

Kendal sighed softly, nodding. "I know.. But.. Still."

Cambria picked up her phone, smiling as she opened up the message Emerald sent her. She replied with 'yeah, totally! When?'.

Emerald chuckled, jumping when his phone dinged. "BREE."
