Kendal stretched, his shoulders emitting soft pops. "To be honest, I feel like I haven't known a full charge since.." He paused. "I.. Can't even remember the last time I had a good charge, actually."

Luna sighed, "That's because you need to take better care of yourself. And get a full charge." She smiled at him, "But I'm glad you did get a full charge."

Kendal laughed. "I'm kinda glad you fixed the things you did Platinum." He paused. "You.." His eyes flickered in recognition. "You found that chip, didn't you?"

"You knew about that." Luna stated as her smile faded. "I know you would've had to... But why? Why have it?"

Kendal looked away for moment. "We weren't made for the purposes we've gotten ourselves into. Cyrus has no control over my father, so he can't change his purpose. He never really wanted by mother to get involved in the fighting and all that, which was why her AIE ES chip was kept faulty for so long. He didn't want her to care about anyone to the point of loving them. Now, seeing the family growing.. It pains him that he couldn't see some of the previous droids care for families. He wants every single one of us to feel how my mother did, lost with what emotion we have if our AIE EA chips are damaged." He glanced back. "Cyrus is getting lonely, and he can't put up with loosing a 17th build to internal or external faults." He shook his head. "This time is the trial period. Soon enough our AIE ES chips will deactivate and we'll be forced to seem out his help. That's when our paths and records will be lost."

Luna looked at Kendal alarmed as he explained. "What?! Why would he want that? Why would he do that?"
