Nearly ten minutes later, Cole approached the ICU room Emerald was in. He knocked on the door gently,.listening for the 'come in'.

"I find it hiliarious that Plat can act older than I can on a daily basis." Kendal laughed.

Luna laughed, "Well... I'm not too surprised, to be honest. But it can go the other way around too."

Sapphire rushed up to Jade and Cole, "I got here as fast as I could!"

[kia.]

Cole looked at Sapphire, nodding. His hand fell to the doorknob as he heard a soft 'come in'. He pushed the door open slightly, his heart sinking as his gaze fell upon his son. Emerald was sitting up, looking at them intently, but he wasn't in good shape at all. His head had been bandaged, and his brown and green eyes were dull and foggy. His left arm was in a cast, and he had bandages wrapped around his chest - covering a gash from glass in the wreck.

"Yeah." Kendal nodded. "But not very often much lately."

Luna shrugged, "That doesn't matter."

Jade looked up and gasped slightly as she saw Emerald, "Oh... He's not good at all..." She whispered, tensing up. She stayed next to Cole and moved closer to him as Sapphire rushed past them.

Sapphire rushed over to her brother, standing next to the bed, looking at him worried, "Emerald!"

Cole slipped into the room. Whoever was sitting there, he knew, was no longer the son he raised. Who sat there was only a fraction of who he originally was.

Emerald stared at them, confusion appearing in his dull eyes. In the back of his mind, had had a faint idea of who they were. But the rest of his mind ruled the idea out. "Who...?" he jolted as Sapphire rushed over. "Wha!?"

"This entire page is just doodles because most of them don't apply to me." Kendal burst out laughing as he glanced back at the paper he held.

Luna laughed, "It's beautiful!!"

Sapphire frowned softly, looking at Emerald sadly, "You... really don't remember us, do you...? I'm Sapphire... Your sister...?"

Jade looked at Sapphire, "He's not going to remember that from before Sapphire..." She reminded her quietly.

"I..." Emerald looked at her, then at Jade and Cole. He noticed the pain in their eyes. "I.. Don't know you guys.." he said quietly, almost to scared to say so.

Kendal covered his face as he laughed. He was right, most of the pictures were just little doodles of faces and 'i don't know' or 'nope' written beside them.

Luna looked over Kendal's paper, "It's a work of art."

Jade looked down, "We know..."

Sapphire whimpered softly, "Not even a little bit?"

Emerald shook his head slowly. "No.. Not at all... I mean.. I feel like I've seen your faces before.. And if I think on it too long, I get a headache.."

"It seriously looks like a high schooler's finals when they know they failed." Kendal giggles.

Luna laughed, "That's basically what this is."

Sapphire sighed, "Oh... I see... You have seen our faces before... We're your family. And I'm your twin sister, and that's our dad and our mom... And..."
