The sound of the floor boards creaked. Yet Arius still connected to his master was messaging him. Being as how Jahoan is he kept trying to not give in and ignore it.
"Sir, I think it's important! You can really help the team! Just-" Arius was very persitant yet Jahoan had trained hard to resist strong temptations.
'I don't want to no now!' Then he set his cane down while Darwin took his jacket. In the distance he heard a women screaming at some servants. It was on the first floor yet he didn't here the floor creek nor even make a single shutter.

[Prepare for the wrath of the Evil Step-Mother None of this should ever be said to someone. I repeat it shouldn't be said. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!]

"You idiots. How can you mess up a simple meal. No wonder your children aren't in college. A waste of life you people are! You should just jump out the window right now! I might as well use you blood to keep my food. Let me say it louder. MY FOOD! Warm." A 55 year old women with grey-ish hair sat in a bed like she attached to it. Her voice sounded like glass smashing against a concrete wall. Her grey eyes were filled with anger, hatred, and evil. Her skin was a normal fair skin yet a smile of wickedness was made the entire image look even more scary."Well if it isn't my son. I thought you were out fighting or you were smart enough to realize how useless you are and you killed yourself. I was hoping I mean thought I have already became a grieving mother. Boo hohoahahaHaHaHAHA. Yeah no can't feel sorry. Ariel get my coffe NOW. My goodness I can't find any good help these days. At least they were better than you."
Jahoan kept his feeling to himself and was prepared for this battle already. The maid ran and gave a cup of coffee to the mad and raging woman."You do remember I was the only one doing work her."
"Don't you dare sass me! I swear I will knock that look off your face right now young man! Anyway why are you here....Speak!!!" The maid was shooed but she quickly scrammed away only to feel like she was about to break down. Yet Arius was still trying to get yet he kept getting blocked out.
"I didn't want to anger you!"
"Too late you fool."
"I just wanted to see how are you mother. After all you raised me."
"Yes I did. Even then you still are the child that I wish wasn't mine. Haha. I'm just joking. It wasn't a wish it was a goal. Anyway you want something. Even now you still beg for more."
"I'm not Oliver Twist! You sh-" He was quickly silenced by a slap on the cheek. A quick feeling of pain and anguish bursted from that and it grew red in a millisecond.
"See no manners. You just waste oxygen on you." She did a deep cough that clearly showed that she was going to die.
"Are you ok?"
"Shut up and go. You are ruining my appetite. Butler get this this infestation out."
Arius soon yelled into his head,"Someone tried to kill Sable! There I said it!"
Jahoan ran out of the room making the floor squeak before he could get his things.
"Leave like you always do!"

There was nothing that could have prepared her for what happened next. The Guardian seemed so calm and collected one second, and the next, he was fueled by anger. It was actually kind of scary the tremendous amount of strength that the Exo Hunter had. It could easily match that of a Titan's easily. Perhaps why the person that had contacted her for this seemingly small job warned her about this team. They were anything but normal. She thought that it would have been an easy check to cash in. But of course, fate had funny ways in proving a person wrong. Ethel tracked the motion of the metal table as it smashed against the nearby wall. Right on impact, the table was bent and broken with little to no chance of repair. This wasn't one of those cheap tables either.It takes a lot of force to actually make the table bend. Her posture had stiffened while she set her leg down so that her boots were firmly placed on the tiled floor.She most definitely hit a nerve right there. It wasn't really intentional either. She was just telling him the information that she knew about. She didn't know much about the behind-the-scenes of this operation. It was best not to ask questions when you lived the life of a mercenary. Get the job done, get paid, don't ask questions, end of story. Asking too many questions usually was what made a person end up six feet under ground."That was all that I knew!" she exclaimed."All that I do, is to do what they request.It's a job. You do what is needed to do, get paid, and leave. But this-this is something that I am not bringing my men into." she hissed, since now, she had been provoked. More or less, from out of self-defense after witnessing what could have been her, getting slammed against the wall of the room."I don't know who this benefactor is. The mission was scrubbed after you-whatever. It doesn't matter. I managed to hack into one of the confidential files on this terminal. They were looking for something.Data logs from various merchant ships.Tracked the logs. The farthest they went was around Venus and Mercury. I understand that there are resources on Venus with the Fallen and whatever is crawling around there. But Mercury? There's nothing there." she explained briefly. She then began to shake her head while she pushed her chair back to get away from him."I'm pulling my team back.I'm not getting involved in this.Not anymore.The money isn't worth it. There were other mercenary groups that were hired. A few of them...gone.No trace." she said a tone lower than usual. There was something that sounded like panic that was becoming more and more obvious the more that she talked."Swanepoel. The Awoken Warlock.She might be the answer to all of your questions. But doing so, puts her at the risk of exile from the Tower. I'm just going to say at a particular time during her career as a Guardian, she may or may not have been studying something she wasn't supposed to." she concluded."It's a...Warlock thing I guess. They like to learn, and get bored rather quickly if they aren't given something new." she added quickly.

[Saberius Prime]

Shadow took a deep vent before letting it out with a huff.

"Whatever Sable did..it's not as bad as what I'm going to do when I find your hirer."

Shadow's eyes flickered to red before returning to they're light blue color. Picking up the table, he bent it back in the other direction, snapping it in half. Dropping it to the floor, he opened the door and slammed it shut.

Cayde looked over at his former protégé.

"Kid..you alright?"

"I'm fine, Cayde."

Shadow put his hood up and left.
(That got really dark, very quickly.)

As soon as Shadow left the interrogation room, a few security guards headed inside to presumably take Ethel to a holding cell until judgment has passed on what to do with her. Obviously, she wasn't going to be let go easily. Usually destroying a generator in a restricted area, and engaging with an attack on two Guardians had a hefty price to pay. As the security guard was doing that, Roman had left the other section of the interrogation room in order to catch up to Shadow. It was sort of like treading on thin ice. He had no idea how his teammate was feeling currently. Assuming the earlier scenario with the metal table, he figured that he was pretty ticked off. So, he really didn't want to irritate him further more."I can take it from here with the investigation. See what Ethel was talking about. In the mean time, how about if you...umm...take a small break? Go get some dinner or take a walk in the Tower?" he said while he matched his pace momentarily."We will find who did this.It's only a small amount of time. Plus, Ethel could be lying hence why I am going to fact check her story." he added, hoping that he would be a little less angry about the whole situation. He then turned to the left down the corridor to where the Titan's main center was located. He could use a few resources from there to do a quick fact check like logs of the merchant ships that passed through this solar system.It was smart to use the merchant ships as reconnaissance. It would have been usually overlooked.

It had been a few hours since she was permitted to leave the hospital. Since then, she had not done much. The orders from the Doctor requested for her to not to do anything too crazy. No missions on the Dreadnaught or anything of that matter. So, she decided to just hang out in one of the housing districts of the Tower.Usually, Guardians took interest in the modern styled apartments of the other district or the condominiums and the townhomes. There was a certain district that was a gated area, but the other Guardians were free to walk around the gardens during the day.It was a bunch of townhomes that had more of a luxurious style to them. Different colored banners with unique emblems hung from each of the buildings in this district. Sable walked through the opened gates, and continued on into the area. She breathed in a small breath of air while she briefly studied the place. When she wasn't living in the Reef, she would return to this place. She had purchased one of the townhomes in this district if she ever had business here at the Tower. It was a lovely place with a peaceful atmosphere. Serene and silent, just the way that she liked it. She walked along one of the winding pathways that took her through the garden area. She then made a right , and slowed to a halt once she reached the railings. She gently placed one of her hands on the white railing while she looked out towards the Last City and the Traveler that was hovering just above it. There was a light breeze that made her light hair ruffle. Her Ghost materialized beside her, and then it followed her gaze to what she was currently looking at."You're...worried?" Lucian asked from out of curiosity while he turned to face her.She shook her head as a response before she replied."No.I'm confident that they will succeed. Look how far they made it. They have done the impossible." she briefly explained while she moved her hand away from the railing to pin up her hair."Yet...there is something more deadlier out there.Just as worse as Oryx. The person responsible for using the darkness for a deadly tool."Lucian added a tone much more quieter so that no one in close proximity could pick up on their conversation.A small smile tugged at the corner of her lips while she glanced over to her Ghost.Her Ghost slightly tilted to the side from out of confusion when he saw her smile.What? He didn't say anything funny or witty this time.He was being completely serious."Okay...what is it? Is there dirt on my shell?" he asked.Sable simply shook her head before looking out to the Traveler again."They are the strongest that I have ever seen.Have a little faith in them."

Shadow sighed.

"Okay."

He headed out into the Courtyard and took the elevator down to the city.

Kat was leaning against the railing. She looked around, wondering where Shadow had went off too. " Hey, Shadow. Where are you? " She commed him.

[Saberius Prime]

"I'm in the city."

Shadow sighed.

"Meet me by the market."

Kat nodded before she made her way to the city. She then went to the market and waited for him.

Soon, Shadow arrived.

"Something happened to me..."
