Ileana~
She wasn't sure exactly what Carmela had meant about not wanting anymore nightmares for a while but could only assume it involved something on this bounty going wrong. Yeah, that was always possible. Too many vex could drop, taken could still show up. The next bug threat to the guardians could land on top of them any minute. There was no way of them knowing for sure that any given moment wasn't the last. Thankfully the areas in which bounties and patrols were usually run weren't all that dangerous. In comparison to actual missions at least. In times of awkward peace, when the most recent significant threat had been eliminated and all there was to so was politics and hunt dreg, it could get ro be pretty slim pickin's out on the field.
"And so the fun begins," Ileana agreed, watching the vex appear. "Perfect timing really. Hopefully not too perfect. That would be a shame." She secured her gun to her hip and reached over her shoulder for her fusion rifle, reloading it as she walked. Vex weren't her favorite thing to go after. All that metal they were covered in was annoying. "One of the first few times I tried to take on the vex I had an ugly little gun. I had run out of ammo in my halfway decent weapons and all I had left was a side arm on it's last leg. Bullet ricocheted right off a goblins head. That is an unsettling moment." She mused. "Some veteran showed up to save my hide, only after I'd died twice." she laughed at the memory of her being a younger guardian, stumbling around in the field like a child at the sight of anything new. As they got closer Ileana lifted her fusion rifle to a goblin, aiming at it's feet. It hadn't spotted them yet. "Bet I can't hit it fromt this distance," she muttered, mostly to herself. It was almost too far for a fusion rifle. The weapon whirred and kicked back. Thanks to the good distance, the space between shots was pretty large. The lower portion hit the ground, the middle took of the core of the goblin and the metal creature dropped, and the top bit wen't over it's head before catching a hobgoblin. The tailed vex immediatly lowered into stasis. "Hit two," she said, a little surprised.
