Nadia clipped the closed pocket watch back onto the side of the belt, and ensured that it was secured and would not detach. She slowly got up to stand, and when she did, she saw a figure standing near the railing. Recognition flickered in her eyes from first glance of whom this mystery man was. Oh, there was no doubt. That had to be him. He was tall for a Hunter, and he had this beautiful cloak that he always wore. Unlike her cloak which she had to cut short because it suffered some damage and was now frayed near the edges from all of those times she ventured out into Old Russia. She dropped down from where she had been sitting, and landed with the grace that her class was known to have. They were the most agile from the trio. The way that his arms rested against the crisp white railing with his gaze settled on the Traveler and the Last City off at the distance reminded her of the day when they first met. Except, she had been the one that was looking out at the distance with thoughts unraveling of what was to come. She started to walk over to where he had been standing, and purposely made a soft scuffing sound with her boot once, just so that she wouldn't end up spooking him if she was to suddenly show up beside him. She slowed to a halt beside him with her hands raising up so that they would plant onto the railing. It was cool to the touch with a few droplets of morning dew still present. She heard what he said while she was approaching him. Something about the light guiding them through the dark.
Nadia looked over to him for a moment, before she had followed his gaze to the Traveler that hovered over the Last City. She took a step to the side, and bumped into him with a weak smile forming on her lips. She then stepped back to where she had been originally prior to bumping into him."Well, I guess this is the day that we have been training for." she started to say with a small tilt of her head. Quite honestly, she didn't think she would be selected to partake in an event that would be a moment that would change the woven tapestry of fate. She believed that there were far better candidates than herself. She wondered what the Vanguard had saw in her that she didn't see herself.Their success...or failure...whichever it be. It would change everything about their fight with the darkness with a ripple effect like when a pebble was skipped across the still surface of a lake. There was a lot of weight being heaved onto their shoulders. If the Vanguards didn't believe that they were capable, they wouldn't have sent them to face Oryx right? She was happy and upset about the layout of the team. They all seems like they would balance each other out. You got the brawn, the smarts, and the swift on the team. Yet, there was something that made her feel a little gloomy to her and it had to deal with the person that was standing beside her.She was glad that there was another familiar face. Someone that knew her fairly well, and she enjoyed being with him. Thing was, it would absolutely crush her if something was to happen to him. It was one of the few things that she feared. She tried not to even think about it, and shoved those troublesome thoughts off to the side."You know, I wouldn't mind going out for a couple drinks after we dethrone this jerk." she said while she straightened her posture."First round will be on me, of course." she added.

With the few soft rays of light that streaked through the curtains of the window, the Titan got up and began to prepare for what was to come. Roman jumped into the shower for about ten minutes, before he left the bathroom with the full-suit of armor. He pulled the helmet over his head, and it made a faint clicking sound to confirm that it did connect with the rest of the armor. It was essential, considering that he needed the readings throughout the entire system of his armor such as the shielding. He rolled his shoulders to get a feel of the armor. Over the five months that he spent to train and hone in on his skills and perfect his strengths, he also managed to grab ahold of better gear and weaponry that even the Vanguard could not offer. He looked over his room briefly with the blankets of the bed drawn up and the pillows propped up nearly. He was about to turn and head out of his room, but he had found himself looking out the window. A soft sigh escaped from him, before he crossed the room to close the curtains so that the room would be engulfed in complete darkness. There was this faint trace of light that shimmered off his armor, and the hammer that was clipped to the side of his mark glowing ever so softly. His hands still held a portion of the curtains with his thoughts occupying his mind for a few seconds, before he shook his head, and dropped his hand to the side.
He headed from out of his room, and as he did, he closed the bedroom door from behind himself. He lifted his gaze to look across the hallway to where the guest bedroom was located. As he approached the stairwell that would lead to the lower level, he was debating whether or not he should check up on Akari. Just to see her one more time before he would have to depart. She held a special place in his heart. There were times in which he didn't understand how such a beautiful, strong, and independent woman ended up with him and stayed with him throughout this time.He had been bold to kiss her back on Venus. It was totally worth the 50/50 risk that she'd either be totally fine with it or she'd stick that knife of hers right between the eyes. He fell in love with her, and he still loved her to this day. It was why he felt so torn. He hated to leave her behind to a mission that there was no guarantee that he would ever return. He knew that he had to proceed. To hurry along to the Tower where the rest of the team awaits. It was a battle to take out this Taken King that threatened their existence and the future generations. He couldn't let that happen. To fail this mission was something he couldn't afford. He didn't want to lose Akari if the darkness was to travel close to the Last City all because he wasn't able to complete this mission. He moved away from the stairwell to head over to Akari's room. He lifted his hand to brush the handle of the door, but he had paused for a moment of time. He didn't want to wake her up if she was sleeping, which she probably was at this time.
