Swifteekl nodded as Blake said she had two siblings that were at Hogwarts as well. She followed her gaze to see a girl talking to some apparent friends, and a boy, doing the same, with a couple girls hanging on to his every word. Turning back as she was spoken to, Swifteekl shrugged lightly, thinking about it. "I enjoy the prospect of defense against the dark arts, and potions class." She responded, pausing in spinning her wand, but continuing tapping the rhythmic beat out with her fingers. Mirroring Blake's actions, she brushed back a lock of hair that was hanging annoyingly in front of her eye, glancing down at the table as she fell silent.

Blake nodded at Swifteekl's response. She bit her lip nervously in the awkward silence as she tried to think of something else to say. "Um...You happy that go got into Slytherin?" Blake asked hoping to start up the conversation again. She realized the girl wasn't asking many questions and Blake was doing most of the talking. Maybe she found her uninteresting or maybe she was just shy. Making friends is hard!

Hunter sighed quietly as he gently pride her hands of his shoulders. He gave her a slight shrug as he trudged back to his seat. As he sat down he looked back at her and gave her a small smile as if everything would be okay. Maybe she would forget about it or maybe he would make some other friends that didn't know of his disappearance or past. Now that they were in seperate houses should they grow apart? Hunter sighed again at the thought of it. Maybe it would be better that way no matter how much he didn't want that to be.

Swifteekl nodded, seemingly unfazed as a silence fell between them. As the quiet stretched out longer and longer, she was almost certain that Blake was done talking to her, until she spoke up again. "Yes... Both of my parents were in Slytherin, and my new family. It was my first pick, Hufflepuff being my second choice." She said, biting her lip slightly as she divulged that information. She fell silent for a few more seconds before returning the question. "What about you? Did you get into the house you wanted?" She inquired curiously.

A grin creeped up her face as Swift asked the question. "Totally! I don't know anyone in my family that wasn't a Slytherin!" Well that wasn't totally true since Blake's dad was a Hufflepuff but she didn't need to tell her that. "So...I hope we're in some classes together!" Blake nodded in hope they would see each other again. Their conversation didn't go in COMPLETE failure, I mean it could have gone better and they didn't immediately click but who did right? Swift was the closest thing to a friend in a long time anyways.

After some calm silence and thought he turned back to Evie. "So you excited for the new year? I mean we're in HOGWARTS!" Hunter yelled as he gestured to the ceiling. His voice, face, expression seemed as if nothing happened. He smiled even though everything inside told him to cry. Life was hard enough already so why push his best friend away and make it worse?

evie smiled. "yeah, it's fantastic," she grinned, but had a feeling that something was still amiss. but the young girl decided not to chase hunter on what happened. "look at the food!" Her gaze was glued to the table as food began to pop up on the tables- mashed potatoes and chicken, fish and chips ...

James let out a whoop of joy as food appeared on the tables. He grabbed as much as the pureblood could. James dug in as his newfound friend made her way to sit next to him and his twin. He devoured his meal as fast as possible, wanting to get into his dorm. James grunted in delight, the elf-made food watering in his mouth. The grifyyndor prefects came around and said hello to the first years. They seemed nice, but extremely strict, one of them being Albus Potter, the son of the infamous Harry Potter. James leaned towards the male, smiling as he spoke about himself. The female was interesting but he hadn't caught her name.

Swifteekl nodded as the other girl said that she was happy to be in Slytherin as well. As the food appeared, Swifteekl began digging into it, eating slowly, with poise. She truly wasn't too hungry, but hungry enough. She watched as the Prefects came around to greet them, but more kept to herself, observing everyone around her. She couldn't wait until she could get to her dorm.

xxxxxxxxTim chose his words carefully. "I can't say I expected to be in Ravenclaw, of all houses. Kinda felt like I leaned a bit more towards Hufflepuff." He spoke as if he knew what he was talking about, but, in fact, the boy had little to no clue about the characteristics of the houses, save for the basics. Ravenclaw; Intelligent. Hufflepuff; Loyal. Gryfindor; Brave. Slytherin; Sly. He had them categorized by simple words in his head. He believed himself loyal, at least to those he was close to. Tim tried to hide that he hadn't read any of his books - he'd most likely try to stay up and read them later on. In his old school, he was more on top of things, and had relatively high grades in all classes (save for math). The transition between schools made him nervous, and the anxiety made him unable to even begin to think about reading. Still, he couldn't get over the simplest of facts in this situation. Magic is real. This is the mantra he had repeated in his head for the entire train ride to Hogwarts.
