((Hope this is okay!

Haha, I made a funny with the pet names too.))
JethranJethran sat and watched his dear sister, Jes'ran. She seemed so distant. It wasn't like her. The young man looked at the Dhole beside him and sighed. Why was she like this? It all started when she first became a Hajari. Jethran frowned, "Why didn't I become all distant and odd like her, Fen?" He glanced at the Dhole who whined a little and pawed at his pants, "Not much on words right now, I see." Jethran patted the large Dhole's head and looked back at his sister. He missed her company. "Ah. Either way. You sit tight for a moment." Jethran scratched at the black patch over his left eye before standing up and spreading his red, feathered wings. He frowned at Jes'ran once more before lifting off.
Jes'ranJes'ran stood stalk still with her bald eagle, Nef, on her shoulder. Her wings were tucked tight behind her back and she shifted her weight every few seconds. She moved her eyes at the faint words she heard from her brother. Although they were just whispers, she could hear his voice and she was positive he was talking about her. She almost felt bad. She shook the feeling off. Her job came before her family.
