I took the slice of pie from my sister, still silent. I never really did much of the talking, I preferred talking with animals over humans, and I felt that I was better at talking to animals. But, I figured I might as well be polite like him, "Like my sister said, no harm was done, but thank you nonetheless." After speaking that one line, I went quiet again and bent down to pet Apache hoping that would help me escape the awkwardness of not talking.

History: Her mother always told her that evil would prevail, that evil never failed. But Liliana isn't so sure.
