"Ready to ride boy?" I asked Shogun, stroking his neck. I never really rode any other way except bareback, I could ride with a saddle, but I always thought it was easier to connect mentally with your horse if you were to ride bareback. Shogun stood patiently as I swung my right leg up and over his back, all the while pulling myself up. It might have not been the best bareback mounting, but it was what I could do.
