"oh god" he siad, his voice shaking. the room started to spin so he braced himself against to moving gurney, which didnt help at all. The nurses wheeled alicia in and put her expertly into a hospital gown. They started talking to alicia about what was oging to happen, when a doctor pulled wren aside. "alicia is very stressed wren. can you tell me what happened?" wren wrung his hands together, he probably wasn't alowed to talk about what happened this morning. he quickly came up with a lie. "some guy broke into our house and tried to take the tv. Alicia found him first and i got all worried and shoved her out of the way. The guy got away, and alicia went into labor" yup. that sounds good. the doctor just nodded and let him go back to alicia. she was very pale

Alicia did the breathing that the doctor told her too, sweat was already matting her hair to her forehead. They told her not to push yet, sice she wasn't dialated far enough. She closed her eyes, as her head fell back and she let out a yowling scream. She reached one hand out and took Wren's, squeezing it hard as she scremed.

[Stiff]

"baby, baby it's ok!" he said, squeezing her hand back. He wiped the sweat off her forehead, and kissed it. "can't you help her not be in pain?" he asked a nurse. he looked apologetic. "sorry, that time has passed" he looked at the ceiling and sighed. "sorry alicia" he whispered

Alicia hissed, and grabbed the nurse by the hair. She pulled her down to eye level and bared her teeth. "I don't care if you have to hit me over the head with a hammer, just make this pain go away!" She snarled, and shoved the nurse away.

[Stiff]

"alicia, alica its ok!" he whispered in a rush, shooting an apologetic look at the nurse she had grabbed. "please try" he pleaded, hating to see her in this much pain.

Alicia panted, closing her eyes. The nurse talked to the doctor and agreed to give he a light epidural. They injested the medicine into her arm. After afew minutes, her head fell back and she sighed. "That feels alot better." She said, and closed her eyes. "Don't relax yet, it's time to push." The doctor said. Alicia whimpered and squeezed Wren's hand, waiting for the doctor to give her the sign. "Okay now." He said. She did as he said and pushed.

Wren had his eyes closed for a couple minutes now, but he heard wailing. "Oh. My. God." he whispered.

Finally the screaming stopped, and there was the soft cry of a baby. Alicia held thir baby girl in her arms, stroking her little head. "Here she is Wren...our baby." She whispered.

[Stiff]

"wow" he whispered. he stroked her fuzzy little head. "our little allie" he sat down on the bed beside alicia. out of the corner of his eye he saw a nurse lingering by the door, waiting to run tests on allie. "they have to weigh her" he informed alicia.

Alicia narrowed her eyes slightly, "Like hell they do." She held Allie closer to her chest, letting out a protective hiss. Her tail lashed under the sheets, and she glared at the nurse.
