Merr whined at her as he leapted from from the tree, landing gracefully on the ground in front of her. Hanging his head, he looked up at her with sad eyes, trying to say how sorry he was. He had no idea what was going on, he thought she had meant it, then he believed her later and then he was even more confused by his own feelings than her. It was all so strange... Could she forgive him for the way he felt? Was it anything to be forgiven? He had every right to lose trust in her.

The sudden voice of Amiselle came as quite a shock to Ivan; hadn't she abandoned them in the middle of nowhere? Afterall, she was no better than anyone else that had wronged him, even if he did believe her and was convinced her words were deserved. She had only put a voice to words he already knew, but she had been cruel...it wasn't Amiselle anymore, after that. Instead of turning to look at her, Ivan kept his eye on the horned creature beneath him, though he listened to what she had to say. The only question that passed his mind was 'how good of a liar was Amiselle?', because she certainly sounded sincere... But Ivan wasn't about to crawl back to her like Merr was doing, fear and a broken trust kept him where he was.

Taka blinked up at Ivan, shaking his mane and twitching his ears as he gently scraped at the ground with a front hoof. He rolled onto his back, legs flailing as he covered his beautiful White pelt with dust. It was only natural. Letting out a small Nickerson to the frightened boy, he got back onto his hooves, shaking himself once again.

Ivan didn't really know much about horses, or animals in general but they always seemed to be bigger than him, and often armed with teeth and claws, this one too had a dangerous horn protruding from its head. Still...it didn't look like it really wanted to hurt him, did it? But Ivan knew better than to pass judgement that way, and he merely stared down at it, afraid to climb down to the ground. Or rather, he had only wanted to look at it. Using his hands to try and hold himself steady, Ivan leaned forwards to get a better look at the creature but ended up over the edge of the branch much farther than he wanted to be. With a slip of his hand, Ivan rocked forward, falling from the branch and narrowly missing the horn angled up towards him.

Claire sighed. She loved being here with Zack, but she knew someplace they could go and enjoy some time together. The more she thought more about it, the more it sounded romantic to her. She thought about how many times she had passed it when traveling with Logan, but she had never thought of it in any way, including the way she saw it now. She smiled to herself and turned to face Zack.

"Would you like to take a walk somewhere with me? I know the perfect place we can talk. It's not too far from here, but we will have to walk a little to get there. You'd really like it. I promise," Claire said. She grinned, showing her two white, pointy, sharp fangs

((Is this enough to write for Claire? I know the exact place these two lovebirds can go! ))

Taka leapt to the side in 'fright' as Ivan fell down. He cautiously moved closer, making sure that the horn didn't get in his way, although he could still move it to attack if he wanted. His nostrils flared, taking in as much of Ivan's scent as they could. He wanted to find out about his prey before he killed it. There was no point in attacking if they could easily kill you.

Ivan struggled to his feet, brushing himself off before freezing -hand still extended over himself- at the shot of air coming from the horned creature. Letting his hand go limp at his side, Ivan took a few timid steps away until his back was flat against the base of the tree he'd just fallen from. His mouth fell open a little, two shaky sounds slipping out that might have been the beginning of some stuttered word, but Ivan was silent after that and kept still too. Slowly, after being gassed, his stressful, cluttered mind was returning to normal, and Ivan was falling victim to the crazed, impossible thoughts that raced through his head. Several of which all lead to the huge threat sticking out of the beast in front of him.

Taka raised his head and bleated, swivelling his ears to try and pick up a reply from his partner. Another bleat echoed from the forest around them, it had echoed a little way, so she would arrive in a little bit... He tapped his horn on Ivan's shoulder, his eyes soft and gentle. He was trying to act like he wasn't going to hurt him, and so far, it was going well. But inside, he actually felt for the boy... He was so scared, he could tell that he felt alone even with the demon and shifter... It was almost sad.

(( Actually, could I change Nat to a unicorn as well as Taka? Two bloodthirsty unicorns nomming on your flesh would be fun :3 ))

Ivan glanced up to see the creature's horn decending and bit down on his lip to keep any too-loud gasp from escaping. Even though the horn only touched his shoulder momentarily, he was still relieved when it lifted again. Ivan spared a small look to Amiselle and Merr, they weren't too far off but it didn't matter how close they were, not when he didn't trust the girl and the demon was about to forgive her. Though, it did bring a little comfort knowing that Merr hadn't tried to attack the unicorn...Didn't that mean it wasn't dangerous? Ivan tried to hang onto that thought but it soon slipped away in a rush of others. Unless he's too caught up with her...Or he simply doesn't care? Shaking his head, he tried to dismiss those more unwanted ideas, and lifted his eye to the beast in front of him.

Nat trotted through the bushes, shaking her mane and bleating back to Taka in greeting. They exchanged nuzzles, then focused all of their attention on Ivan. But they couldn't stay close for very long... At the arrival of Nat, Merr bristled with anger and padded over to the boy. A male unicorn was a scout, a female was hungry... Seeing both together staring at Ivan unnerved him... They weren't allowed to have him as their dinner, but they obviously had different ideas.
