~Claire~
"Nothing," Claire answered in a sad tone. She turned around and faced Zack. She looked up into his deep, mysterious eyes, trying to figure it out. She put a hand lightly on his arm, smiling faintly. "Nothing anybody has done is unforgivable. Trust me. There were so many people in my life who murdered, fought, stole, one even assassinated an uncle of mine who was a Senator. But everyone forgave each other. I mean, my uncle never was a nice person and he had lung cancer, so he would have died sometime," she muttered.
"Don't blame yourself. Don't even
think about it! It's been hard for me, but did I give up and die? No. I didn't. But I didn't let the thoughts overtake me either. So... try to think about who's really at fault here, you or those scientists who changed us? Because I know you know who really killed him. But who took the blame?
YOU! Who should have taken the blame but didn't? Them. Please... don't take the blame anymore. You're going crazy. I can see it right now. And... I don't want you to go crazy," she said.
Claire's lower lip started to tremble. Her storm gray eyes became teary, but she didn't begin to cry yet. She hesitantly raised her other hand, slowly bringing it up to Zack's face. She brushed a few strands of his dark brown hair away from his eyes, a smile breaking slowly through to her lips.
