[Nostalgia]

"Merr, don't..." whispered Amiselle, standing up and looking into his eyes. "Please..." she begged him.
"Who's Ebony?" asked Chase, gasping with pain when Amiselle hit him in the stomach with an elbow.
"Just shut up." she growled to him, turning to Merr again. "Merr..." she whispered again, staring at him with pleading eyes.

[Solanum]

Merr looked back at Ami, sighing. His angry stare softened slightly, but not completely. "You deserve eachother, you don't need me..." He looked away, growling softly. Why was this happening...

[Nostalgia]

"Of course I need you. Will is my best friend, he knows everything about me, he's my soulmate, but we drive each other crazy all the time. I love him, but like a brother." whispered Amiselle.

[forbidden.]

Steph glared at Merr, "Just leave her alone." She said, taking a step back as Chase spoke. She looked over at him and smiled weakly, still a bit shocked that he was close to Amiselle. She moved around the group until she was next to him and whispered in his ear, "Ebony is the...thing...that was with Zack before. You know, when you saved me." As she talked, she laid a gentle hand on his shoulder.

[Fatal Star Syndrome]

At first, Steph's words meant nothing to Ivan. He didn't know her and he certainly didn't know who Erik was and the news she had simply didn't even try to register in his head. Maybe, if he'd acknowledged how severe the situation actually was, he'd have been prepared for what followed...Ivan turned and looked expectantly at Rose but her answer to his question was cut off and she had completely frozen, her weak voice the only sign she was even still breathing. "R-Rose...?" He stuttered, his own voice breaking as tears threatened to crawl down her face. "Who was Er-" Ivan jumped, turning quickly to face Merr. Ebony? Ebony was there? Of course he hadn't forgotten about her but...In the time they had free of her presence he tried to keep her out of his thoughts. And as if that wasn't enough...Ivan tried to focus on Merr's voice again as his panic was rising, usually within seconds of sensing Ebony the demon was on her but now...He was asking to join her? What had caused that sudden change? Or maybe...maybe he was with her the entire time...maybe the protector he had been was only a part to be played in her game. Thoughts of the similar nature raced through his cluttered mind, pushing him further and further into himself. Ivan knew he needed to find some sort of connection before he was buried too deep in his thoughts, he needed a way to assure himself that even though everything seemed to be falling apart, it was going to be okay. But then...Rose let go. The fact that she was only moving to protect them meant nothing to him, Ivan was forced under his fear and panic, his breath was becoming labored even before Ebony was inside him and then...nothing. Ebony had gotten hold of him. It was an odd feeling, as if all his senses had decided to abandon him at once, except he was able to hear a small nagging voice in the back of his head telling him something was terribly wrong. It was repeating itself over and over and with its came a dulled feeling of pain, but he couldn't find its location. Oh well...maybe it would go away...if he waited...Ivan fell limp to the grass, slumping over himself in an awkward sit, no longer responsive to what was happening around him.

Merr looked back at her, cocking his head. "What? You mean that you aren't...?" His body softened as she spoke, her voice soft and soothing. I'm being such an idiot... He looked back at Ivan, frowning. He could feel the unease in the air, Ivan was afraid, or troubled at least...

[Nostalgia]

"We were, once. He's still closer to me than my own family, but not that way anymore." said Amiselle, sighing.
"Right." muttered Chase, frowning when he remembered the scene. He didn't even notice Steph's hand and smiled at Ami when she mentioned him.

[Crabbiey]

Ebony laughed quietly and sadistically inside Ivan's mind See why friendship and love is stupid? It only makes you weak and breaks you up. She continued to drain his power, continuing to laugh.

[Rose.]

Rose listened to them talk about to about to speak when she heard a muted thud behind her. Frowning, she turned to see Ivan slumped on the grass. Her eyes wide, she gasped and phased quicker than she ever had before into a human. The pain was excrutiating, but that didn't matter to her at the moment. Falling to the ground beside him, she shook his shoulders. "Ivan!?" She yelled, her eyes filling with tears. What had happened to him? Why did he suddenly collapse. One word came to mind. Ebony. Shock coursed through her as tears ran down her paling face. What had she done to him? "Ivan!" She yelled again, shaking his shoulders gently. "Ebony! Get the hell out of him, please!" She screamed as tears cascaded quickly down her face that was full of shock.

Charlie stood there, eyes wide at them all. What was going on? This was hell. And to think he thought it might actually be a new opportunity to start his life again. All of these people had it bad, he didn't though. He needed to do something. "Merr!" He ran over to him and whimpered, "What's Ebony's weakness?! Is there any object that is her weakness!?" He asked frantically. He needed to help them. And fast.

Merr looked at his paws, whining slightly. "I guess I got a bit jealous..." He sighed, looking back up at her. "I'm sorry... I got so jealous that my shift didn't go well, and I ignored everything else inside me... Ami, I love you, it really hurt me to see you with him..." He gulped, averting his eyes once again. She must think he was such an idiot. He jumped as Charlie ran to him, forcing back a growl. "I don't know. We've fought before, she almost killed me once, the last time Sombra took hold and went after you guys. I don't know how to kill her..."
