Because they were already together, because I tend to cause heartache, because there WERE no outside forces, because I said really terrible things before I liked Locus like I did and I know he never trusted me and I KNOW he left Felix BECAUSE of me!" Check answered without hesitation. It was obvious that he had spent many nights awake from anxiety over the issue. Kattix stared at him sadly, unsure of how to respond. Oregon, with her foot still planted on his chest, looked to Leonard and shrugged. They seemed like solid reasons to her, but that's probably not what Check wanted to hear.

"Thank you. If only Lexi could be as helpful as you" Maria stated, glaring at the man and stepping away "Alright, brother dearest. Let's go see Locus. I'm sure he'll have lots to tell us" and with that the twins were gone.

Leonard thought about it and continued pressing on the matter. Okay so maybe it was more like Therapy than he'd care to admit "How do you know that he left a Felix because of you? How do you know that he didn't just fall out of love with Felix?"

"I have a bad feeling about this." Delta mumbled to felix as he looked at him.

Locus stood outside his cave, silent at the moment, his camouflage active and peering through the scope of his rifle. The sights lined perfectly on Oregon currently, merely watching the group but unable to hear what they were saying. His line of sight changed to briefly look at church helping tucker inside, must of injured himself again, unfortunate, then the scope went over to the group again, this time the cross hares lining up on Kat and check. Silent and calculating.

"Because you can't do that." Check replied as if the answer was obvious. "You can never stop loving someone."

Kattix's head jerked and she stared at Check, eyes narrowed. Something inside her head had clicked; long-still gears turned ever-so-slightly. Where had she heard that before...? Not just the words, but the tone and the confidence in that they were truth. Oregon looked over at her, peering around Leonard's armor curiously. She hadn't known Kattix long enough to see her remember anything, and the sudden seriousness and concentration piqued her interest.

Leonard frowned and shook his head, looking over to Kattix to ask her something, instantly recognized that she had remembered something "Kat? What is it?"

Felix sighed "So do I." he mumbled, stepping away from the cliff edge and starting to climb down. "Suddenly this place isn't so beautiful"

"Perhaps we should find a way to warn him. Without him moving away from us." Delta suggested.

Locus remained in position, his rifles sight still on kat, and if the trigger was pulled, he could put a .55 caliber bullet into her and watch it pass throught her and into check. But his finger remained off the trigger, the safety still locked into place for a moment. Then, his hands shifted. The stock was grasped, finger placed on the trigger and thumb flicking upwards to turn off the safety and make the rifle deadly. But, he remained still, waiting.

It didn't take long for the twins to find Locus' cave, especially with how closely they had been watching him. They hid behind the rock and set the scrambler up so that they wouldn't appear on scans "Oh Lotus Flower~" Ruby called out sweetly, mimicking Felix's voice almost perfectly. Maria staying silent, it was her turn to strike first. "Lotus flower, come on. I want to talk." They both knew it wasn't convincing but it would be enough to grab his attention.

Felix nibbled on his lip "There's no way he'd listen to me. We both know that" he told Delta worriedly.

Kattix held up a hand to Leonard, deep in thought. There was a pause before she faced Check. "Who told you that?" She demanded, suddenly serious. "I know I've heard that- where did you learn it?" She stared at him, expression slightly confused. It was on the tip of her tongue. Someone's actual image, albeit fuzzy, came to mind when she heard the phrase. 'You can't stop loving someone...'

Check's expression changed to panic for a split second before he calmed himself and shrugged. "I-I don'know." He said, looking to Leonard for help. "I've probably said it before with you around, Kat..."

Kattix stared for a second before her air shifted back to normal. "Okay." She signed. "If you think so..." She outwardly shrugged it off, but she desperately tried to remember it in her head.
