It didn't work out. Felix knew it wouldn't last but he never wanted to admit it, the dynamic just couldn't work. Felix knew it was his fault and that only worsened his heartbreak, he didn't speak for Check or Locus for weeks. Staying to himself and training harder and more frequently than before, something to keep him occupied. He wasn't sure how to confront either of them, the feeling was foreign to him. That feeling that everything that you built up towards had crumbled to nothing but dust. He wasn't sure how Check felt, he was worried about him, more than he should have been and Locus.. Well Felix always thought he'd always have Locus but now he was too sure.

Felix now stood in silence at the very top of the cliff, staring off the edge at the ground below. It was stunning.


Not much had happened for Leonard over the last two months, everything was slowly going back to the way it was. Or at least how Leonard thought it was before. He had the occasional argument with Church but for the most part they could balance each other out and work together if needed. Things were starting to make sense to him again, more so now that he had decided to let his past go, even if Church couldn't.


Ruby and Maria had been staying out of sight and out of mind of everyone in the canyon, they knew exactly what had happened but they never showed themselves, they became something completely different during their seclusion. Something that could barely be considered human. Oh but the joy they took in it was cruelly delightful. Now they were finally ready to start laying their traps and allowing their hints and warnings to be seen.

Delta had calculated the relationship wouldn't work, with both Felix's and check's unpredictability and locus's soldier like status. He knew if wouldn't last, but never told felix, simply deciding it was a learning process for him. After the fall of the relationship, delta merely watched as felix hardened himself more, occasionally having to remind him about his robotic leg needing maintence but that was it. Felix seemed to be doing pretty good in delta's eyes as he watched him.

It was just one of those moments, standing on Felix's shoulder, arms crossed and looking at the scenery.

Locus had found the relationship less then desirable to his likings. Yes, he enjoyed both of them, but he didn't enjoy them how he thought he did. He ended up separating himself from the relationship the moment it began crumbling, slipping back into his old self. His silence became more apparent, his reclusive behavior having returned, always spending time in his cove with his equipment and training by himself. He could never shake the feeling that something was wrong thought. Very, very, very wrong.

Tucker watched the weeks roll by in amusement mainly. He'd been improving his sword handling and actually following Washington's training routine. Course he still complained over it, the freelancer was a hard arse. Either way, he'd do his morning to late afternoon training, then spend the rest cuddling with church or leonard, but only when he really needed to, cause lets face it, leonard and church were flippin masters with their hands, anyways, complaining about his sore muscles and all. And it was one of those moments, currently training at the moment with himself fully armored to add on the MJLOUNIR armor's weight and all. His hands curled around a thick tree branch and doing chin touches as best he could at the moment.
"47.... 48.."
"More of 11."
"Shut up gamma."
"Lying doesn't help with training captain tucker."
Tucker huffed in annoyance as he dropped from the branch. "Fine!" He snorted and dropped down for a set of a hundred push ups.

Check//male//unofficial red//trees near blue base:

Check crouched several meters off the ground in one of the trees near the river. He was grateful for the cover of foliage around him, but he let out a shriek when a knife sank into the trunk of the tree. It was a warning-- the one hunting him never missed. He scrambled, leaping from the tree and rolling before taking off at full speed toward the river. He lost his footing on the bank one slippery pebbles and went down with a splash. He got to his hands and knees, about to dive when he felt his chest armor be grabbed and yanked back so that he stared at he sky. A knife blade pressed to his throat.

There was a long, taunting pause before he felt it move, and his hunter nicked his shoulder just enough to bleed. He growled, scrambling back up and whirling around when he was released. Kattix, arms folded, looked at him with a grin and a poked-out tongue. "I win." She signed as she unfolded her arms and sheathed her knife.

"Dang it!" Check threw his arms up in defeat. "That's your third win this week-- and it's only flippin' TUESDAY." He groaned, rolling his eyes as Kattix nodded. "I don't like this game anymore. It was fun the first few weeks, but now you're too good."

"Maybe if you quit daydreaming and watching the X-Men train, you'd train yourself." She signed.

"Stop calling them the X-Men."

"Why? They're your ex men."

Oregon//female//red base roof:

Oregon watched her roommates in amusement. Their little game of 'Hunter' had been a daily thing for several weeks now. After meeting Kattix, she'd gotten close quickly and decided to stay with her at red base. Check had come over most of the time for emotional support. Though she didn't sign, she'd picked up quickly on Kattix's... expressiveness. She knew she crossed a line when she got flipped off, and she knew she'd done good when she got a smirk and a 'perfect' sign. They had an odd and growing relationship, but they got along alright.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Felix asked Delta softly, taking a small step forward, now teetering on the edge of the cliff but at no danger of falling unless he was shot. "Almost as beautiful as me" he added with a snort and a light chuckle, it was the most Felix had laughed for the past few weeks. He was already slipping back into his old habits; twirling his tongue ring, biting at his nails and peeling the dead skin at the tips of his fingers as well as an new scabs he had acquired, even his narcissistic behavior was obvious again. Not that any of that had bothered Felix before.

Leonard had been watching Tucker, Kattix and Check train from the roof of blue base, throwing some advice when he thought was necessary but mostly just watching. In his time at blue base he has picked up the habit of using a sniper rifle, now by no means was he good at using it but he still had it. Leonard had done some training as well but not nearly as much as the others, Leonard preferred to maintain a healthy weight with just enough muscle to show but other than that he didn't care. Instead focusing on various scientific projects, occasionally working with Dr. Gray to do larger projects or something that required another person.

"It is a remarkable view." Delta informed calmly, hands infront of himself, grasping his pistol and toying with its safety setting. He didn't need to worry over it, but it was still something to do. "If I may? You're behavior is changing again since the break up. However, that is not the concerning part, it is the constant biting of you're hands and the removal of dead skin cells. If you continue with the habits obtained, then it will be hard for you to grasp a weapon or knife without causing you're self pain, and therefore, a distraction." He informed calmly, looking at felix. "A suggestion, is if you wish to continue this habit, perhaps we can get Dr. Grey to give us the healing unit she possesses willingly, then I can see too it, that if the habit gets bad enough, any injuries you make to yourself is healed over quickly before they become a problem." He inquired.

Tucker panted faintly as he continued to push himself, after getting to a hundred without cheating as gamma kept putting it, tucker adjusted himself and went for a few laps around both bases. The armor provided weight unlike when Washington made him train without it, therefore, was able to push himself more then he should be doing.
