Ray leapt over to a small cellphone that had dropped from the intruder's pocket. "I'll call you an ambulance, ok?" Ray asked Sam, beginning to dial.

"Hello whats your emergancy?" asked an officer

"My girlfriend's been stabbed, and we need an ambulance. And a police car too, we caught the guy who stabbed her." Ray said, rushing slightly in his urgency. He rattled off the address, and flicked the phone shut. "They're on their way." Ray said with a sigh of relief, and gently put his arm around Sam. "I'm going to carry you outside, ok?" Ray gently carried Sam outside, and placed her down.

the ambulance and cops came, they gently put her on a carryer and lifted her inside the car a women asked ray "Would you like to go?" she asked

the cop came out and rushed to the person who nearly killed sam, he uncuffed him and put him in his car and sped off

Ray locked the door to the shop, and jumped into the ambulance with Sam. Ray grasped Sam's hand, and held her tightly.

when they got there, they rushed her to a room, and set up the things she needed, she lay there for 4 hours and woke up seeing ray, she held his hand back and smiled

Ray gave Sam's hand a gentle squeeze, and sighed. "That knife was probably meant for me." He said to Sam. Ray grimaced. "It's a dark place out there, and I haven't exactly had a perfect past either. There's people out there who want me dead, Sam." Ray knelt beside the bed. "If you don't care about this, there's something I want to ask you." Ray pulled a small black box from his pocket, and flipped it open. Inside was a very old gold ring, set with diamonds and a very rare fire opal. "Sam, will you marry me?" Ray asked tentatively.

sam had a small gleam in her eye, and a tear came out "I Do care, and I will maryr you." she said and pulled him close and hugged him

Ray smiled, and hugged Sam, but pulled back to slide the ring onto her finger. It was a perfect fit, and glittered in the light.
