Crona is a naive, submissive and extremely introverted child. She will rarely stand up for herself, often becoming a victim to bullying, especially from her weapon partner; Ragnarok. She is a push-over and can be easily manipulated by people stronger or more superior then her.
Although she is generally mentally weak, Crona is quite sting in battle. She will defend her friends with out any thought, even if that means risking her life. She also won't stand for her friends being threatened or offended.
Crona's mind has a hint of madness with traces of depression and extreme anxiety. Crona will often crumble under extreme pressure, often using the phrase, "I'm not sure how to deal with this/that". Crona's dark, abusive past with both Medusa and Ragnarok has scarred her, but she is managing to slowly recover with the help of her close friend Maka. In the past, Crona was unable to tell the difference between good and evil, but she is slowly being able to recover from this.

Not much is known about Crona's past. Having the Black Blood implanted into their body as a young child that included the melted Demon Sword Ragnarok, Crona was then forced to learn to kill and collect souls under the instruction of the child's mother, Medusa Gorgon. They then suffered abuse from both the likes of their mother and weapon partner

On the brink of becoming a kishin, Crona was saved by Maka Albarn. The female meister's anti-magic wavelength had "purified" Crona, confiscating the human souls that they had collected. This helped Crona become a better person, as she then joined the DWMA with Maka as her closest friend. She managed to adapt to the academy's way of life, although she is still extremely shy and anxious, especially when she isn't by Maka's side.
When Crona's previously-deceased mother, Medusa Gorgon, had been revived, she ended up betraying the academy. Crona had been pressured to taking her mother's side, as it was all she felt she could do. Crona had felt afraid and torn, not wanting her friends to know about her betraying them. The day Crona snapped under the pressure she had run away. Maka had begun to frantically search for her friend, having found her alone in the desert surrounding Death City. Crona confessed to Maka that she had betrayed the academy. At first Maka was upset. But Maka knew that Crona had been forced into betraying them and that it wasn't her fault. In turn, Maka forgave her friend.
After the rest of the academy found out about Crona's betrayal, she was taken into custody as a criminal. While Lord Death decided of what to do with Crona, Maka would frequently visit her friend's cell and speak with her.
Lord Death later decided that Crona would be exiled from the academy. Maka was of course upset. She knew that Crona had no where to go. Although, Crona's exile proved beneficial to the academy. Crona and Marie, a former teacher at the academy, had trekked off in search of one of the academy's greatest enemies, Medusa Gorgon, as well as the missing professor, Franken Stein. Crona had decided that she needed to face her mother and stand up against her, as she was tired of being controlled by her.
Once Crona and Marie found Medusa and Stein they ended up in a battle, but things hadn't been looking so good. They had nearly lost before Maka showed up, having gone in search for Crona. With Maka now on their side, the three of them managed to fight back. But it wasn't long before they were brought back down to their knees, as Stein had now joined in on the fight. In the battle, Crona had noticed Medusa's Vector Sword about to stab Maka in the back. In attempt to save her only friend, Crona jumped in front of Medusa's blade. This caused Crona to bleed out and come near to death. Maka was devastated and angered. She began to fight back more strongly than before. Once Marie had managed to retrieve Stein from his madness, the three worked together to defeat Medusa.
After the fight, Stein said that he could still faintly sense Crona's soul, meaning that Maka hadn't lost her friend. It wasn't until after the Kishin Asura was defeated that Crona and Maka were reunited.
After her seemingly endless struggle against fear, Crona has finally found peace within herself.

Deryn listened to what the Britishman had to say. "All I have is a pistol and the barking wee beast, Bovril." Deryn responded with a slight frown as Bovril giggled with a faint smirk, well if he could smirk,that is.

"I did have a... wand but... it appears to not be on my person at the moment. Though, it was with me when i first appeared. Must to left it somewhere." he shrugged. He was a bit worried about mentioning his wand, it was was usually made fun of, since many of the other nations didn't believe that magic was real. "Maybe your friend can yell for anyones attention or something." he suggested.

Levy walked away from the group and sat down not to far away but where she wasn't around all the other people. She wasn't sure what was going on and she didn't really worry about it.

Deryn's eyes widened faintly before she glanced at him as if he were insane, a wand? Who owns a wand? Magic wasn't real! "Maybe your friend can yell for anyone's attention or something." Bovril repeated in Arthur's voice, somehow sounding exactly like him. "Of course I can." It continued before chuckling again.

Bovril ten made a loud sound, a sound that sounded like an explosion, causing Deryn to cover her ears. After Bovril made the loud sound, Deryn stopped covering her ears and Bovril just chuckled as he was on her shoulder. "Of course you had to make that sound..." She sad to herself with a frown ,just hoping no one had any hearing damage or was almost scared to death.
