(I had not been prepared for what I was about to open when I opened it aha)
Ness
After only one step into the room, the boy heard the door slam closed behind him and disappear into thin air. "Wah! How did that just happen?!" he exclaimed as he frantically began to look around the room. There wasn't much inside it; only a bed, side table with a few books on it, a dresser, and another door which he assumed was the closet. Out of fear, Ness's hands began to glow a bluish-green color signalling that his PSI was beginning to kick in in case something started to come at them. He knew this castle hadn't felt right in the first place and this whole ordeal was only beginning to assure him that he had been right. He began to approach the closet door until it flew open by itself and reveal a shadowy looking monster coming toward them. "Looks like we're going to have to fight!"

Her eyes widened when she heard a voice call out to her or so to speak. It wasn't much of a call, but a howl of sorts. The reply sent a shiver down her spine at first, but she knew it was better to go toward them than head in the other direction. Quietly, she ran down the hall until two figured came into view near the entrance of the castle that she had only recently left in search of finding something else. A small smile crossed her lips at the newcomers as she slowly approached them and eventually coming to a stop a few feet away from them. Nervously, she clutched her dragonstone in her hands as she clasped them together while looking toward the other two carefully. She could tell neither of them were human much like herself, but what exactly what they were. In attempt to hide her slight nervousness, she allowed her smile to expand. "Hello there," she said in a cheery voice.
Ruby
Slowly, the trainer pushed open one of the doors and walked into the room on the other side only to find it was rather empty. On the walls hung several paintings, but other than that the room was almost entirely empty. "Well this isn't strange or anything," he mumbled sarcastically. Why a room would be so empty was strange, especially since this was a castle, not a normal house. He had assumed that an owner of a castle would be able to afford decorating every room completely, but he had assumed wrong it seemed. Pushing the thought aside, Ruby began to approach one of the paintings when he felt some strange feeling overcome him. He winced slightly before biting down on his lip. Why did he want to attack Rosa all the sudden? Deep down he was trying to fight against whatever was taking him over. It was a struggle to keep himself afloat, but it wasn't enough. His eyes darkened slightly and he turned to face the other trainer again, his eyes narrowed and a smirk on his lips.
(Poor Ruby gets to be the first to be taken over and have to fight against a friend)
