The scout rose to her feet while running her fingers through her messy black hair. At least the book had explained how she had gotten to this strange place, even if she had no clue if it was true or not. The titan certainly had good aim to smack her straight into some portal that had opened if that was the case. "Who knows if we'll be able to find the owner first, but we have to do something. We'll have to explore the rooms until we find them," she said as her hand dropped to her side. Whoever had sucked them from their homes and to this place was cruel and twisted. For all she knew they could be watching them struggle for their own amusement. There didn't seem like any other reason why they would be brought here. However, she wasn't angered that she might die, only that she might die fighting against something that wasn't the titans. Her dark eyes moved to Link for a moment. He was her comrade now and just like the scouts back home, she would lay her life down to protect him. That was what she was trained to do as a soldier. Even if she thought of herself as superior to others, she still hated to see others die. Over the last three years she had seen far too many deaths while outside the walls. She wouldn't let herself watch Link die if it came to that. "We better get moving if we want to make it through these rooms and find the mastermind behind this all." Her eyes moved to the door as she approached it and she twisted the doorknob to reveal the main hall they had been in before entering the library. At least she knew that it was a safe place for now, but what the other rooms held was a mystery.

blue just had to resist letting out a high pitched giggle.
this little boy looked just too funny! the poor dear,
he looked like he had no clue what was going on! but
that was how blue liked her victims - helpless, clueless
and utterly adorable. and luckily for her, this black
haired boy ticked every box. this was gonna be fun. she
could just feel it.

blue turned her head and covered her face, looking like
she was trying to stifle a sob. in reality, she was trying
to suppress her laughter. this was just too good! but she
didn't want to ruin the façade with something as easily
controlled as laughter, for gods' sake. all emotions
could be controlled - and she wasn't gonna let the
simplest one get the best of her. hell naw. the girl wiped
her tears from her eyes, and waved a hand across her
face so as to compose herself. taking a deep breath, she
turned back to ZiM.

"And, I would, uhh..." blue frowned slightly, trailing off.
clear a path? for his awesomeness? That was a
little weird, to say the least. but she had dealt with weirder
and more embarrassed clients before - like red, that
absolute cutie.
"clear a path!" the girl continued abruptly, trying to stare into
the boys' eyes. damn it. he had basically hidden them away -
this might be a little harder now.
"but I..!" blue reverted back to sobbing dramatically, eventually
covering her mouth with her hand and taking a moment to
breathe. "I just want a way to get home!" she finally said,
holding a hand to her head. blue glanced down at the boy,
staring at him from the corner of her eye with crafty, burning
blue eyes. gosh, he sure was easily embarrassed! and very
adorable - like silver, almost. but that wouldn't stop blue
robbing him of every possession he owned and held dear.
after all, she had a living to make - and needed a bloody good
way to get home.

"so, um," blue reverted back to her original position - on her
hands and knees, trying to make some decent eye contact
with the boy. "do, you..." the girl trailed off, forcing a guilty
expression onto her face, "do you...have anything I could
possibly borrow? money? oh...jewellery? oh my, I would be
so obliged to you if you did!" she said earnestly, staring
innocently into the boys' face. blue took a small moment -
to let ZiM know that she was feeling guilty (ha!) about this
whole situation. "I understand if you don't want to give
anything to me..." the girl added, pushing her face closer to
the child. "but I would really..." blue nodded slowly, inching
in closer and closer - she was only a few centimetres from
his pockets! if she could just lean in a little further...!
"really, really appreciate it!"

Mary's smile was bright and wide at the response she had gained from Ness, "Right!" She nodded her head lightly, then looked around the castle, before heading off to a random corridor with her grip firm on the boy's hand. "I'm sure the owner would be nice! And they must be pretty if they have such a pretty castle too! They could even be royalty, like a princess or a king!" Sure, that was a childish thing to believe, but what can you say, Mary was painted to be a nine year old, so she would act it. The painting paused for a moment, looking back to Ness, "Say...are we friends?" She asked, cocking her head.

Rosa hummed quietly to herself, Opal keeping himself close to her side, seeming antsy in this new castle. "Hmm...is something up? The pokemon seem a bit worried..."She murmured, calling back Opal, leaving Sandile out and lifting up the small crocodile-like pokemon with a concerned expression. "Do you think it's this place or the change in the weather?"She asked curiously.

Aoi Asahina - tags; Elliot
She nodded a little, now cheered up quite considerably, she took Elliot by the arm, wrapping her arm between the crook of his and very gently leading him along toward the castle. "I'm sure we'll be able to find some sort of sanctuary in there...sometime..."She murmured. "It might take a little while...but there should be some form of kitchen...or bedroom...or donut stand! Oh! I do hope there's a donut stand!" Her mouth beginning to water. "I mean, even if they just sell cronuts, that's okay...as long as they're not just plain butter ones, I like chocolate flavoured cronuts!"She babbled on.

As Mary began to take off again, the boy stumbled forward after her, finding it a challenge to keep his legs moving fast enough to keep up with the younger girl. With his free hand, he held his hat down, not wanting to lose it as the moved through the castle. "The owner could be of royalty. I'm sure they most likely are since I doubt a normal person would live in a castle in the first place," he said as they slowed down. His black eyes looked around the corridor they had entered, getting a rather strange feeling from it. Maybe his PSI was reacting to being in some other place, but until he knew for sure he knew he couldn't get too comfortable in this place. His eyes moved back to Mary when he heard her ask if they were friends and a small smile crossed his lips. Ness knew it was best to make at least one friend in this strange place and he figured why not make it Mary. "If you want to consider me a friend, that would be fine with me. Having a friend in a place like this definitely makes it more exciting."

Ruby
"I think it may be the change of weather, but I'm not sure what the weather is like in Unova. Hoenn is quite tropical so we rarely experience cold weather like this, but Zuzu didn't seem too bothered by it outside," he said. The boy focused on his Pokemon for a moment, wishing that it would be easier to communicate with him and find out what was wrong, but it never was. "Maybe the Pokemon are picking up on some strange feeling from this place that we can't feel. Maybe the sense something bad here." As he spoke, Zuzu nodded his head slightly as if to confirm his trainer's thoughts. Something didn't feel right about this place to him and he wanted to make sure that Ruby was careful.

"We aren't the only ones wandering this castle. Maybe the mastermind behind this stupid game will leave us alone for a few minutes while they bother someone else." He highly doubted that. This study was more than he'd thought they'd get by way of kindness, and he was pretty sure the castle wouldn't allow them to have such good fortune again. But Link could deal with that. The bigger the challenge, the more determined he was to overcome it. They hadn't been taken down by a hoard of murderous books, and he wasn't going to let that much effort go to waste. Again, Link thanked the universe that he'd run into Callie before finding himself in this ridiculous castle. He was still fuzzy on the whole titan thing, but she was always determined and ready to go. He found peace in her reliability, and even though he ached for home and for familiarity, that small glimmer of peace was enough to keep him optimistic. He jumped to his feet, leaving the books on the table. They'd gotten all the information they could from the hard-backs, and it would only burden the two to carry them around. Link followed Callie back into the main hallway and glanced around. Hm, where to go now? "Hey, there's something different down this hallway. What is that?" He jogged down the length of the hall towards the end where two gigantic majestic doors hung slightly open. Link pushed one open to reveal an enormous room with tile floors and high ceilings decorated with gold. "Hey Callie, come down here! I think . . . I think it's a ballroom." It was incredible. Everything - even the pillars - were adorned with gold. "Yeah, it is a ballroom! The orchestra plays up there," He pointed towards a small stage area, "and refreshments over there, and the rest is for dancing. Wow . . . I didn't think there would be a room like this in here."

Maybe Link was right. Maybe the mastermind behind this castle would leave them alone for a few more minutes. It was a long shot to ask for such things, but if this castle was full of traps and attacking furniture she wasn't looking forward to the constant battle they'd be in. The girl knew her limits and if they had to continuously fight, she wouldn't stand a chance. That didn't mean she wouldn't go down fighting in the end. As Link began to move down the hallway to the large doors at the end of it, the scout followed closely behind, not remembering the big doors being there before. Did the castle change things on them by itself? Everything that was happening was far over her head that she barely understood it. Back home there was none of this strange stuff. Only titans trying to destroy the walls and kill them all. Even that at the moment seemed more appealing that dealing with murderous books and whatever else this castle had in store for them. At least she knew the enemy back home, but here, she had no clue what she was up against. As Link opened the doors to the room, her eyes grew wide in surprise. Never before in her life had she ever seen so much gold. It was simply beautiful. "This certainly is an upgrade from the library. It's such a grand room," she breathed out in awe. "Can't wait to figure out what kind of trap it has in store for us." Her voice changed from one of awe to a sarcastic tone. She didn't really want to know what this ballroom could do, but she knew it was probably their only way out of the castle in the first place. Things couldn't be made easy in a deathtrap like this.

thank god zim's eyes were closed - that way, he didn't have to see the ugly snarl that passed across blue's once pretty face. he turned her away? oh man, that didn't happen often. like, almost never! who the hell was this kid? but blue was good at what she did - that is,robbing people of their pride and money. and she would do it fantastically. the girl gritted her teeth - this kid would not be an exception.

thankfully, having his eyes closed could possibly be a blessing. taking a deep breath, blue leaned in as close as she could possibly get to the man-child, and tightly wrapped her arms around him. wow, she could wrap her arms around him twice if she wanted to! blue giggled; this was gonna be easy peasy! at least the kids' guard was down, which is always useful. but did he trust her? eh, that didn't really matter right now. blue was far too busy looting the kids' pockets for whatever the hell he was keeping in there.

"I-it's okay!" more crocodile tears, just to keep herself occupied in the search job. she burrowed her face into zim's shoulder, shaking it slowly. "my little brother will literally starve out there - but I understand! you don't want to help me!" boo hoo, all the classic guilt trip stuff. it might be cheesy, but the little guy didn't really seem to respond to anything else. what else could poor old blue do?

Link glanced back towards Callie as she entered the room and took it in for herself. As she walked in the doors slammed shut. He didn't have to check the handles to know they were locked in. "Yup, should've expected that." Link muttered lamely. It really was an amazing castle, and the elf wouldn't at all mind exploring if he knew the place wasn't out to kill him and his companion. He could almost imagine that at one point it had been built for royalty, and they would throw parties with hundreds of guests and their knights would teach sword fighting in the courtyards. Yes, that would be something to see. Callie broke his train of thought when she mentioned traps, and he turned towards her. "This place? Nah, I'm sure it's completely safe." He snorted. "There's probably a demon that will spring from one of the walls, or a violent cello in the corner waiting to beat us to death. Or, better yet, the mastermind will make us dance together across certain squares without setting off a trap that kills us. Because that's exactly the kind of stuff he or she seems to enjoy." Link turned on his heels to examine the room again. It looked safe, which made it all the more dangerous. "And . . . ah, ha! That looks like our target, right over there." He pointed to the far corner opposite a beautiful grand piano where a small door stood alone. "Nice to have some direction in life. Lets just try not to die on our way over." Link tentatively stepped towards the center of the ballroom. The best way to go about it would probably be to take it one tile at a time instead of clashing across several that could hold traps.
