"No. Means the problems not within your systems. Meaning the error is either something with me or lexta, but she's been offline for a while now." Nevada answered as he surveyed the area slowly. "Run a complete detailed scan on myself, see if the error comes up again and see which area it comes up in." He finally stated with a nod.

"I'll try, I just" he gripped his head in pain, pulling at his hair "My head hurts horribly" he told Nevada as he tried to scan him again, all he had to do was find the error.

Delta looked at alpha and the director once again. "Why alpha? Why are you with him again when he has proven to be unloyal and dishonest? After all, he had abandoned you to be destroyed with the ship. He made no efforts to regain you, sent someone else after you. And when you returned to him, did he ask if you were alright, if you were undamaged? Did he show the slightest joy or concern over you?" He asked suddenly.

"Just try mortem. I need you to stay as strong as possible for me." Nevada said as he rubbed his head a bit.

Maine was more busy beating a rock at the moment.

I look over at Delta and shake my head. "I'm his AI, Delta. Just like you're York's, I'm his." I motion over at the Director, who stares at Delta. "I was more concerned for him really, but...I, uh....he seemed...pleased." I clear my throat.

"Abandoned you?" He utters, turning around. "Oh. Delta, you're clearly confused." He clears his throat again. "Did you not hear my explanation before I left for Maine?" He turns around back to us, glasses flaring with the light coming into the mouth of the cave. I project myself in the middle of the two, looking up.

"But you...you made no effort to come and--"

"Alpha please!" He yells, making me grow quiet. "My exact words were, and I quote, 'If I'm not back in ten minutes, get Delta, and leave.' " He drums his fingers on a rock. "I tried to save you, Alpha. I tried to save all of us!"

Delta looked at the two. "And look how he treats you now. He holds no respect for what you are saying. If he wanted to make the true effert to save you, he would not have left you with agent maine. Who did save you. I tracked his position and his path, he was heading directly for the escape pods, no were else. He planned on LEAVING you! Yet I refused to allow agent maine to take myself with out you coming along as well. I would have rathered agent maine left me in the ship if he had not taken you as well." He answered, looking at the director. "And refrain from using such harsh tone and language to him while I am around. I still possess the ability to transmit a distress beacon and alert agent maine of my location as well as agent York." He threatened.

"Um...yeah." I begin as I step more towards Delta, the Director huffing.

"Look at these burn marks on my face. I passed out from the smoke trying to save you, Alpha. That why I brought the helmet with me! I was trying to deal with Agent Maine before I went back for you. The only reason I couldn't come to get you was because I fainted and was saved by medical personnel."

I can hear it in his voice. He's getting mad. Not entirely mad. He's getting to that eery time, that calm-mad that he gets before he absolutely explodes. "That's not what Delta says..." I whisper.

"Exactly! Of course he wouldn't say what I'm saying because he's trying to get you to go away from me, Alpha. " He sighs. "I'm not lying to you, Alpha. I promise. You can go ahead and scan me if you want, I'm not. I swear it... I care you for Alpha."

"I am programmed not to lie for you placed that mechanic in my programming when you destroyed the original alpha dr. church. And it is with the assistance of not only my partner, but his friends as well that I have been able to look past most human flaws. However, your answers are majorly flawed. If you were heading for agent maine, you would have either stayed in the room with myself and alpha or gone to the right side of the ship, not the left were the escape pods and undestroyed ship dock was located. You were running away due to fear because you knew that agent maine was aboard and how dangerious he is. However, he has overcome his desire to hunt the AI's after sigma's destruction." He stated, looking at the director. "And might I add, you knew what would happen to agent maine due to sigma not being the correct AI match for him. Agent Carolina was the correct match and yet you still allowed her to give sigma over to him and allowed him to be manipulated. Like what your doing to alpha now. Like what you've been doing to all of us. Manipulating us into thinking you are truly an ally, but your not. To you, we are nothing more then a chess game. So I do have to say now Dr. Church, check mate." He answered.

Alpha

"Hm-mm." I nod at Delta and take another step his direction.

"I curse myself sometimes for making you too smart." The Director smiles and shakes his head. "No. Alpha, if I were lying and actually was headed towards the uncorrupted part of the ship, why would I have this?" He steps towards a rock and brings out a half burnt walrus doll he had given Nebraska on his successful first mission. "I stopped by the sleeping quarters to make sure no one was still in there, Alpha. Why would I have these burns on my face if I had escaped so suddenly? If I wasn't planning on staying in the ship so long, why did I bring this extra helmet to protect myself?"

"If you had truly brought the helmet," I start, "why do you have the burns?"

"You saw me bring it, Alpha. Do you really think I'm lying to you?" I take a step towards the Director, turning to Delta. " The helmet ran out of oxygen, and I passed out. The helmet must've been knocked off my head, and that's how I sustained these burns."

Mortem ran the program again and again, his projection abruptly dissolving before he could start his report.

Georgia sprang awake, breathing heavily as he looked around him in a panic. He slowly calmed down as he recognized where he was and who he was with. "I'm alright, I'm on a mission. No one is dead" he whispered to himself, trying not to wake up Nebraska.
