Remmy said he wanted this night - the one thats happening right now - off to spend with Rayne and cheer her up and whatnot, but he also mentioned a ball. But he said the ball was tomorrow, so its really going to be two nights in a row with Rayne. So I was asking if Jasper was going to tag along as well? :P

Adelaide shook her head, looking at the ground as Jasper led her away. "Oh, you do not have to buy me anything, Jasper. I am quite content with what I have." She murmured, glancing at him out of the corner of her eye. 'I would be happy with something simple, like..." She trailed off, not sure of what to suggest.

Remington met Rayne's gaze and nodded solemnly. "I will try, Rayne." He murmured, standing up and extending his hand to her to help her stand. "To kick off this wonderful night, shall we take a stroll on the deck?" He asked, desperately groping for some fun thing he could do with Rayne. Taker her to a fancy dinner, maybe? Play old games from their childhood? Tell stories under the stars?

{{ I was thinking Jasper could take Addie to town, maybe have her try one some fancy shmancy dresses? Then they could just hang out on a patch of grass or something and stargaze? I have a mini-plot for something they could do. :3

And what happened to.. whats-his-name? Derrek? Augustus? Something like that? xD He kinda went *poof!* and never came back. Lol. }}

Jasper smiled thoughtfully back at Adelaide, shaking his head. "Yes I do!" he insisted, his playful smile widening. "It's common courtesy!" He listened to her suggestion - or attempt at one, rather - and smirked. "I heard from a little birdie that there is a ball coming up - tomorrow! - and thought to myself, 'Adelaide needs a fine dress for that,' so after a little debate with myself, I decided that you do. So tell me, Adelaide, will you kindly take my offer?" He smiled brightly, though somewhere in his mind, the mention of Adelaide in a beautiful dress dancing with random men - no, not random men, but that Augustin fellow - gave him the chills. "Please, Adelaide?" he pleaded, feeling somewhat like a child. He didn't care.

Rayne
Rayne smiled sheepishly at Remington's dedication to make her happy, and she took his hand gratefully. Oh, how big his hands had grown, how strong... She smiled, staring at his hand holding hers a moment longer before she dropped it carefully. "That sounds delightful," she murmured, nodding thankfully. What would she do without Remington? Without her brother, or Adelaide? She would be dead. She knew it. She coughed a bit, and felt that that was a deadly omen to confirm her thoughts. She looked up at Remington, her eyes wide and bright, like a child's.

Kay, this'll sound silly, but I was watching Spirit with my friend's little sister. And I'm not sure but the song may have been "Sound the Bugle." Ahaha. Happy song. *sarcasm* -.-

Adelaide smiled, looking down at the ground, then at Jasper. "I don't think anything I say can change your mind now," She said, tightening her shawl around her shoulders as they stepped out onto the deck. It was not a cold night, but there was a slight ocean breeze carrying the mist from the water that made it chilly. Once they reached town, though, it would not be as cold. "A ball!" He eyes widened at the thought. "Oh, but Jasper, I am a servant. Servants cannot attend balls," Adelaide tried to point out, although the thought of attending such a grand event made the little hairs on the back of her neck stand on end.

Remington smiled as she stood. He was also staring at their hands, at how small and delicate hers looked in his own rather large hands. "Fantastic," He said, offering her his arm to take just as Jasper had done with Adelaide. He forced himself not to cringe as she coughed, this had to be a good night for her. Meeting her gaze, his dark blue eyes sparkled and he gave her a wink. "Off we go then," He said, starting toward the door.

OTAY FAIL INTRO TIEM 8D))

Two identical redheads, smartly dressed and one wearing an eye patch, stared up at the giant ship looming above them that would become their new home for a while. Their servants picked up their luggage as they boarded, someone leading them and the twins to their new room. After unpacking their stuff for them, the servants bade farewell to the young masters and took their leave. Eli walked over to a window and looked out at the view, while Zach peeked out the door and watched the servants disappear around the corner. They both waited a solid minute, listening to the waves aside the ship, before breaking out into grins that spread from ear to ear. "Freedom!" they cried in unison, high fiving as Eli untied the wretched eye patch and flung it onto the table. "I hate that thing, have I ever mentioned that?" he grumbled, rubbing his blind eye and blinking it unnecessarily. "Shall we-" "Explore?" they inquired, hooking their arms together and humming as they left the room and wandered down the hallway. Their sudden outburst of energy was because their butler and parents generally disapproved of their carefree behavior in public, and both built up the energy when they had to stand still and be quiet. Now that they were free of their servants, they could get into as much trouble as they wanted -as long as they didn't get caught. Both observed the bustle around the ship of servants, royalty, and everything in between going about their daily lives on the ship.

Jasper grinned victoriously, his eyes alight as Adelaide admitted defeat. He was proud - even though a part of him felt bad for bullying her into letting him buy her dresses. But what was bad in that? She would have pretty new dresses. He rubbed his arm as the cool air met him, coincidentally brushing against Adelaide's warm arm. He looked at her incredulously, as if she was speaking gibberish, and smiled. "But Adelaide!" he said instantly, shaking his head. "What if Rayne just so happens to need a personal servant there, just in case she would just so happen to possibly faint? I'm not saying that she will or should - but you can be her aid, of sorts. Anyway, you can do whatever you would like as long as you're with us." He grinned then as he walked down and onto the gangplank, wanting badly to win another battle against Adelaide. "How do you feel about a short dinner, then star-gazing?"

Rayne
Rayne took Remington's arm almost hesitantly, and she smiled up at him, her own icy blue eyes bright and curious. She nodded and headed to the door with him, eager to get out on the deck and into the open air. Maybe if she spent much less time cramped in such a small room, where all the germs in the world rested under her nose, she would be much less sick much more of the time. Oh, but she tried that logic with her parents before, and was denied. She sighed softly, then looked up to Remington, smiling softly, thankfully. "Thank you, Remmy. I don't think a day could have been any better, and that a night will never be any better." She looked ahead again, wary of the stairs - something that she could easily slip on, in her weak condition. But she was determined not to embarrass herself. Especially in front of Remington Cuvelier.

Adelaide smiled, amused by Jasper's triumphant expression. She jumped slightly as he brushed against her, the warmth from his arm lingering long after he'd touched her. "Jasper..." She sighed, obviously nervous about the prospect of going, but excited as well. She looked up at him with her big eyes, blinking. "Okay, I'll go. It'll be fun... I hope." She said, clutching the railing tightly as she half slid half walked down the gangplank. "That sounds nice..." She murmured in response, focused on getting to the bottom in one piece.

Remington's gaze softened as she spoke, and he shook his head. "It's my pleasure, Rayne." He said, pausing for a moment at the bottom of the stairs. He glanced at Rayne -- she looked worried about going up -- and adjusted his arm so that if she slipped he could catch her. "Come one, I think we might be able to catch the last bit of the sunset," Remington said, stepping up the first step.

The twins both stopped walking and watched a girl slide down the rail on the gangplank. "That looks-" "fun!" They both finished, grinning at each other before heading that way. "Not nearly as impressive as the one at home, but at least we can slide down this one without too much punishment," Eli observed, waiting for the girl to reach the bottom and get off so they could race. As they waited, they made up commentary in their head for the girl sliding. "A slow and steady speed, almost to the bottom- Oh! That could have been disastrous, but she knew exactly how to maneuver it- the ground is leveling out, but there! It slopes back down again! Oh, the excitement!" they cheered (quietly.)
".....We're very easily amused," Zach mused with a smirk. "Yes, yes we are," Eli agreed.

Jasper
Jasper looked at Adelaide expectantly as she said his name, and he grinned as she said she would go. "You know it will be fun, you mean," he corrected, smiling at her. He held her arm steady as they wandered down the gangplank, noticing how much she slipped and slid compared to how much she actually walked. He held her arm firmly, being careful to place his own feet in good places lest he wanted them both to fall - and that would be devastating. "Good, good," he said happily, eager to reach the bottom of the long slab of wood made as a walkway. It was getting on his nerves, and wetter and wetter near the bottom.

Finally, though, his feet met solid, non-slippery ground, and he smiled thankfully. "So, off to a dinner, yes?" He smiled at Adelaide, his grin bright and his heart dancing. It was good just to be out and have fun, especially with Adelaide. "What would you like, Adelaide? I'll get you anything you want, just name it!" He almost felt as if they had reversed roles somewhere along the walk down the gangplank - that now she was the princess, and he was her servant.

Rayne
Rayne looked at her hidden feet, fixed, as she felt Remington's gaze on her. She felt his arm shift, and she was thankful. "I would love that!" She regained her childish happiness and followed him up, hoping that the sun would wait a few more moments for them to get up the stairs and onto the deck. She didn't want to miss such an opportunity - most of the sunsets she had seen for the past few months were while they were on board the ship and moving, and while she was hidden away in her room. None of them seemed so extravagant then, and now that the ship was docked, she prayed that the sunset would leave a vivid imprint on her life-long memories. She held tightly on to Remington's trusty arm as they ventured up the stairs, at a pace that she knew turtles would laugh at. Oh, she hated being so weak. She glanced at Remington, her eyes shining and happy.
