What was I thinking? Ryan closed his eyes and ran his fingers through his hair as he thought. How could he say Sharissa deserved better than Alexander? Alexander was a prince, so he was wealthy. Plus he was outgoing. And friendly. And Alexander. You couldn't get much better than him. So why had he said that?
Sitting up, Ryan rubbed his temples. He wasn't... jealous or anything, was he? No. Sharissa's just a friend. He reminded himself, grumbling and standing up. He should go find his mum and sister, they were probably waiting on him to get lunch.

Adelaide stood between Jasper and Augustin, looking from man to man and watching their expressions carefully. While Jaser looked steely, Augustin looked amused. Was there something she was missing? She sighed, nodding at Augustin as he bid her farewell. She looked up and met his gaze just as he bent to kiss her cheek, and let out another melancholy sigh. If it had been any other time and Augustin had done that, she'd have been ecstatic and jubilant. But at the moment she ould barely force a smile.

Turning back to Jasper and Rayne, she stood before them with her hands clasped behind her back nervously. "How did it go?" She questioned quietly.

{{ Derrek - er, I mean, Augustin - should do things like Adelaide will love that will make Jasper furious. Like give her a necklace and tell her things about royalty, maybe make up lies about Jasper's family to make Adelaide angry at him or something. >3

The babes are here(Soren & Sigirid) and they are so sweet!! I haven't seen Soren since last year, and his is the first time I've seen Sigrid in real life! !:O Soren is playing with his trucks and Sigrid is takin' a nap. ^^ They're soooo adorable!!!))

Sharissa moved away from the rails, wondering if her master was looking for her, or even her so called 'friend', who probably wasn't. Only Ryan and Mel were real friends to her, even Alexander. Well, at least she thought Alexander thought of her as a friend. Apparently he was only looking for some forbidden love they would have to face. Well, no. She didn't want to do that and she wasn't prepared for forbidden love. Not after last time. Shaking her head, she walked through the halls, dozing off in thought again. If she was ever going to fall in love, then it'd have to be with another servant or even a worker. Blinking a couple of times, she suddenly wondered where Jack was. He was her friend too, right? Well, he was probably busy with his girlfriend, so she didn't want to disturb them. Maybe if she can catch him when he's off of work and not busy, she can talk to him and hang out. That is, if they were actually friends. Sighing, she decided that she should just stick with Ryan and Mel.

Jack swung his empty bucket around in the air, whistling as he made his way to the storage closet. He was done shoveling buckets of water out of the ship, so after he dropped off his bucket he was going to take a nice, long nap.

Turning a corner, he spotted the servant girl he'd met so long ago. He hadn't spoken to her much, and he was mortified to find he couldn't even remember her name. "Heeeey... you! It's like... Sha-... Sha-... Shay-... No... Shar-... Sharissa! Yes! Thats it! Sharissa! I mean, how could I forget such a lovely name, hm?" He threw his arms in the air, his tone so casual you might think it was all a joke, that he had in fact remembered your name and was just teasing you. "So. How's life?" He asked, somehow oblivious to the tear-stains on Sharissa's cheeks and the way her eyes were tinted red, like how they look after a long hard crying.

Jasper watched silently as Augustin bid his farewell to Adelaide, suddenly aware of feelings. She was his servant. His friend. Rayne's friend. Their servant. It must have been... He was anxious about Rayne. Worried. That was all. His emotions were all jumbled, and he was just confusing himself. He turned for a second to look down at Rayne, trying her best to quiet the sobs into little sniffs and hiccups. And failing.

As soon as Rayne was sure Adelaide's guest was gone, and bursted forward and hugged Adelaide as tight as she could. "Terrible!" she cried, latching on to Adelaide and sobbing into her shoulder. "I could die right now, and this terrible cough-" - she stopped to cough a bit - "coughing will stay with me forever!" She still held tight to her friend, never wanting to let go. Her brother and Adelaide - they were all she thought she had, all she knew she had. Jasper tried catching Adelaide's gaze, dismissing that weird feeling from a few minutes before. He had to tell her everything, even that which Rayne didn't know.

"I want to go back. Back on the ship, to sleep. It's just a nap!" Her last four words were snapped out, because she knew Jasper would say something in protest. She felt his hesitation, and she reluctantly pulled away from Adelaide, biting her pale lip. "I'm tired. Afraid. Emotional. I can't walk around and take in the sights. Maybe tomorrow. I'll make it back by myself; you two go and... and buy things. On me, Adelaide." Jasper gave another dissatisfied look, then looked at Adelaide. Rayne would listen to him anymore.

Adelaide hugged Rayne the same way Rayne was hugging her, practically clinging to Rayne as if if she let go Rayne would slip away and be gone forever. Loosening her hold a bit, she rubbed Rayne's back gently, soothingly. "Don't you worry, Rayne. You are a strong girl, you can survive this. And the more you believe it the more it will sem to be true. Okay?" She murmured reassuringly into her friend's ear.

Her gaze flickered up and met Jasper's eyes, and her heart sank. There was more. More - she could tell - that was meant for her ears only. Stepping back, she dropped her gaze to meet Rayne's and tilted her head sympathetically. "That's alright, Rayne. Aurevy will still be here tomorrow, and all the sights in it. But you will not be walking back by yourself. There is no way." She said firmly with a little nod, taking Rayne's hand and starting for the ship. "Jasper, you can stay. I'll be riht back." She said quietly, dipping her head. She sounded meek, like a servant. Lunch with Augustin had obviously affected her feelings toward her 'masters'.
