{{Yep, that makes sense. ^.^ I can't wait for Spellbound to start. :3}}
Tikaani growled, a deep, reverberating grumble in the far depths of his chest, an almost pitchless sound; one that vibrated through his bones, then the ground beneath his feet. He didn't like so many predators so close to him; the wolf, the Saber, then the bear, and now...now a blasted lion. He could smell it, though he guessed the creature was in hiding, since no sight was to be found of the feline.
He lifted one leg as well as his head, slowly, and then let it drop firmly onto the ground, a solid thump that once again, barely missed the Saber. He knew he wasn't phasing the beast, but it pleased him a bit to know that he could crush the skull with a single strong swing of his tusks. He lowered his head slightly, great bowed pillars of ivory nearly brushing the ground, tilting his head to look at all of the creatures to the best of his ability. "Look me in the eye and tell me that you think I couldn't kill you," he said, his gaze now focused on Hutch, straining against the instinct to kill him where he stood. "Tell me that you honestly think I'd even want to be around another human, much less offer them my help as you have suggested. And tell me truthfully that I had tried to keep away from the female because I was afraid."
He laughed once, a deep, hollow sound, then lifted his head once more, looking past the creatures, to the camp, where he could see several humans looking in their direction. Great. After all of his efforts to keep himself invisible to them for his whole life, he was now conversing with their companions, in plain sight. How careless could he get? Well, he was still here, which seemed to be even more reckless. He silently cursed his own stupidity, but stood strong, not backing an inch.
