The short solider had finished her daily chores in record time, yet she was still nearly skipping wherever she walked. It was all she could do to prevent herself from sprinting out the doors. She was rather eager to get to the stables. She was never assigned stable duty, but her father and she raised a portion of the horses owned by the Survey Corps. She wanted to check up on her "babies." She was almost at the large castle doors, the anticipation made her knees jitter and slide muscles twitch as she neared the door. She took a breath to calm down so she could open the doors gently. But it was of no use. She burst them open and ran through, kicking them shut. She no longer cared about the noise and she ran to the stables; every now and then leaping, for she wondered if she ran faster when she let the wind carry her. She got to the building the horses were kept and jumped in the air, exclaiming noises of excitement and victory. After a short laugh, she relaxed a little and opened the doors. There were a great deal of horses, but none looked familiar. She began to wonder if somehow they all died in the field or given to another branch. She hoped for the second one. Despite not knowing the horses, she enjoyed them and pet a few. Then she came across a tall stallion that began to get anxious in his stall. Why, it was no other than the one that was still a colt when she started training. Kyler, they called him. She laughed joyously and covered him in kisses and pats. He seemed to be excited too, stomping about in his small stall. It appeared he hadn't been out for awhile. She knew she wasn't SUPPOSED to ride without permission, but her baby Kyler needed some exercise desperately. She grabbed some riding gear and attempted to calm the horse enough to put it on, his hooves were still moving and he made a few whinnies. She put on his bridle, which he took well; but he started to panic when she jumped in to put on his saddle. She assumed her father had been too sick to saddle train him, and that the Survey Corps hadn't paid much attention to training him lately. Poor baby. She set the saddle down and decided she'd ride him bareback. She grabbed a hold of his bridle and opened the gate. The restless stallion nearly lunged out, but she gave his head a jerk.
"Oi! Kyler. You wait for me. Stop that. Hey!" the horse attempted to tug away from her, but somehow she managed to use a stack of hay to jump on his back and they were off to a full sprint within seconds. She raised a hand to the air and gave her best battlecry. Kyler huffed, almost like he was agreeing and she laughed. She attempted to make him go in a circle around a sapling tree, but he wasn't budging. She realized that this horse of hers wasn't trained in the slightest and she had no control over him. She no longer thought this as a fun activity. With no saddle, it would be easy for him to throw her off. She no longer tried to control him. If he wanted to run, she was going to let him run. There was no chance of him obeying her commands until he tired himself out. She lowered herself and held on best she could while Kyler roamed wherever and however he pleased. She knew others would see her for this, and that she would be punished for it, but she didn't care. Things like this had to be done so they could see the importance of letting the untrained horses out more.
Not all of my posts will be this long, the first one always needs a little more background. In summary, she is on the back of an unruly, and possibly dangerous, horse that is galloping around the area when she shouldn't even be riding in the first place
