Carlisle signaled for his wife to go for the buck. He crept closer and got into striking distance. He leapt atop and buck and bit down on his neck and soon offer Esme came over to help Carlisle kill the buck. He and Esme drank their fill. Carlisle saw that one of the does got hurt as Esme came around. He put her out of her misery by breaking her neck. Carlisle said," There you go, son."
