It was strange, being unconscious when you were blind. Most people say that they would "black out" when they lost consciousness. But for Edan, he just called it "losing consciousness" because that all it was to him.
Waking from a black out was ever weirder for the sight-impaired, You just woke up to blackness. Edan had grown accustomed to it, as it was all he had ever known.
He was dozing, not really caring where he was when a slight thud brought him to his senses. He sat up, noticing almost immediately that he wasn't in his own room. He took a breath, smelling the all to familiar hospital aromas. His clear eyes opened, and he turned his head in the direction of the sound.
"Hello?" He asked. He knew it was a risk, the bump could have easily been a dropped object, which explained the question. But it would be even queer to try to walk over to the fallen thing, feeling it over to see if it was a human. One wrong move when he felt over a girl led him to stop that sight technique. He exhaled, and he heard his voice seem to echo with this strange noise, coming from a few inches away. He reached to the sound source and felt a cool bar. That was strange...
