Darkened Halls [Human/Vampire/Werewolf/Neko/Etc.] Accepting

"Are you sure it's safe?" Aera asked, her voice a little quieter, trying to hide the worry in her voice as she tried the door again, then sighed when it didn't work, and turned, pressing her back against it.

"I don't really know," Thomas called back, turning back to the door and trying to turn the knob again, yelping when he thought he felt something brushing against his back, he quickly turned, pressing his back against the heavy wood door as he looked out at the dark filled room, "Hello?" he called, a slight quiver in his voice, something he tried to hide as he darted his eyes around, trying desperately to see into the darkness and not willing to let out of the cold metal of the room door knob.

Aera looked behind her at the door when she heard his help. "Thomas? Thomas are you okay?" she asked, worry seeping into her voice as she tried the door again, her eyes flitting around it. She hated being separated, she just hated being so alone in this place.

"I thought something touched me," Thomas called back with a sigh, figuring he must have imagined it and feeling slightly ashamed of himself, he turned and tried to work on the door again, then shook his head, giving the door knob up and turning to face the room again, "we need to know if there's a window or something in here," he called with a sigh, still not wanting to risk going into the darkness since he might not be able to find the door again.

Aera sighed a little bit, wishing she was at least stuck in the room with him. "Just... just promise you'll be careful, alright?" she mumbled through the door, her hand on the door knob as she leaned her forehead on the door, wanting to just open it and get him out. She knew the place, that nearly anything was there, and would easily kill a human.

"Of course, I would rather not get killed in here as well," Thomas called back, his tone half teasing as he took a tentative step into the darkness away from the door, he bit his lip, suddenly growing very cold as well as weary, as if he had moved more then just a step away from the door.

Aera cracked a small smile, shaking her head a bit, but didn't say she'd rather he not get killed either. She grew silent as she tried the door again, not wanting to be alone in such a horrible place. Even as a demon, she hated being alone, because nearly anything could right out kill her.

Thomas froze when he felt something brush against his side, resisting the urge to yelp as he backed up a few steps, running into a solid wall where he expected the door to be, confused he felt along the wall, close to panicking, "Aera?" he called, feeling along the cold wall, yelping when he felt a hand lay across the side of his neck where the man from before had bitten, he moved to smack it away but found it had vanished already.

Aera sighed softly when Thomas seemed to grow silent, and leaned against the door, looking down as she sank down, staring at her lap. "Thomas? Are you alive?" she called, leaning her head against the door.

Thomas yelped again when he felt something brush against the skin of his hand, moving to the left and stepping back, tripping over a cord or something in the darkness, "Aera?" Thomas yelled with a quiver in his voice again, he scrambled back in the darkness when he felt lips brush against his neck, delicate fangs scratching along the skin.
