Aera gave a tiny little smile as she looked back at him, tilting her head in the slightest.
So what if I can't forget you? I'll burn your name into my throat I'll be the fire that'll catch you What's so good about picking up the pieces? What if I don't even want to
"But we have to find a way out of here anyway," Thomas sighed, looking around the halls, otherwise we'll both be in trouble soon, he added to himself, not doubting that the vampire would be returning, and if he did there was nothing he could do to save him, nor help Aera.
Aera nodded in agreement. "That won't be very easy," she sighed, looking down at the ground as she clasped her hands in front of her, interlocking her fingers. She shook her head slightly, closing her eyes a bit. "I've tried everything I can to get out of here," she grumbled.

Thomas sighed with a quick nod of his head, "We can't just give up," he told her calmly, trying to keep himself calm, if he could do it at the orphanage when he was half immobile and a bully was about to beat him within an inch of his life, then he could do it now when he was trying to reassure Aera, someone he felt protective of, but couldn't do a thing to protect her.
Aera slowly blinked, then reopened her eyes and looked up at him, sighing softly and nodded, silently examining him for a moment, before she looked down at the ground again. "I guess you're right on that one," she mumbled.

"Maybe we should look in these dark rooms," Thomas sighed, looking over into one of them, the darkness inside them unnerved him, that they were so dark, absolute shadows, almost solid, but he braced himself before stepping into one of them and feeling along the wall for a light switch, cursing when he found none, and letting out a yelp when the door closed behind him. "Aera!" he called, turning and trying the door knob in vain, it was as if something had hold of it and wasn't about to let it open again.
Aera nodded a tiny bit as she looked over at him, warily following after him, but jumped and fell down when the door closed. She jumped back up and hurried back to the door he'd disappeared into and tried opening the door from her side. "Thomas? Are you alright?" she called.

"I'm fine," Thomas called with a sigh, "I can't see my own hand," he twitched his nose, looking around in the absolute darkness, shivering slightly, but making himself sound calm for Aera, through in truth, the thought that he could see anything or...anyone, that might be in dark unnerved him, and the fact that the door had shut on it's own and was now tightly closed.
Aera gave up after a moment, huffing sharply. "Well what the hell?" she grumbled, examining the door. "Alright, as long as you aren't hurt, then I won't freak out..." she trailed off. "as much..." she mumbled, mostly to herself, then sighed quietly as she looked over the door. She had no clue how to help him.

Thomas sighed, "I guess I'll try exploring in here..." he called, his voice uncertain as he blinked his eyes uselessly, trying to see through the thick shadows that swallowed him, he gulped, not moving an inch from the door, scaring himself by thinking about something could be creeping up on him this second and he would be none the wiser.
