Lamento swore multiple strings of curses in his mind as Rell was taken into the grasp of the old vampire. Damnit all! He couldn’t do anything… he was just a Halfling. The thought crossed his mind of attacking Marcus so he could let go of Rell, but someone else acted first. Carlos to be exact. Lamento quickly grabbed Rell and pulled him back away from the vampire, hiding Rell behind him as he glared angrily at the vampire. How dare he intrude his home! Slaughter his family! And dare try to hurt his friends! Lamento boiled with all sorts of anger. And usually it was hard to get him like this. But when someone went this far to hurt his friends and family, to spill the blood of the innocent priests, he wasn’t just going to watch.
His eyes snapped to Fabio when he offered Emmaline. “No one is killing anyone here if I have anything to do with it!” Lamento growled at him.
He slightly pushed at Rell, forcing him back as he strutted over to Carlos. “Get the hell out of here.” Another way of saying ‘run, I’ll hold him off’. But he wasn’t going to say it nicely when he was so pissed off that this stuck up bastard just killed a handful of the priests- which he considered his family. Lamento loosened his arm, a blade slipped from his sleeve and his finger caught the handle, rounding the blade back towards his arm. A butterfly sword- not to be mistaken for a butterfly knife. Being much like a machete but not as large. Having a single sharp edge on the silver blade, The butterfly sword having a small crossguard to protect the hands of the wielder, similar to that of a sai, which can also be used to block or hook an opponent's weapon.
He held the sword tightly, eyes like metallic acid as the white color just screamed murder. He sprinted the short distance at Marcus, slashing the blade upward at a slanted strike- hoping to tear into the vampire’s side. Though he doubted he could… a halfing not even a hundred years old going up against an ancient… it wasn’t something you called an equality in power.
