While the jab about being the less favored son didn't hit Loki as hard as it once would have, damn him, Fenrir had a point about Thor being the type of oaf who would feel that he 'had no other choice' than to give up the bridle and reins in exchange for a few of his people. What do you want, Fenrir? In exchange for your brother's freedom and Oliver's disposal, name your price." He spat, attempting to bargain.

He'd left Sleipnir alone for a moment. The safe house wasn't large and Oliver had sharp ears. He would have heard an escape attempt. When he returned, he'd changed into a new standard button up that he'd found in a closet, one that wasn't blood stained, and his hair was less disheveled. He no longer looked like he'd been put through a meat grinder. With a casual sigh, Oliver sat down on a leather seat around 5 feet away from where Sleipnir had been discarded on the floor, his icy eyes looking down at his pet. "Comfy?" He asked with a smile, and it was strange how sincere the question sounded, all things considered. "Or thirsty? Hungry? I don't even remember what they fed you back at our base. Did they feed you?" He asked suddenly, his eyes lighting up a bit, as if intrigued by the possibility that Sleipnir had been starved without his knowledge. "Can't recall. I know that I told hem not to feed your mother, but I never asked them to restrict your meals. Apologies if they made an assumption about that." He drawled, this time not managing to sound very sincere at all. Sleipnir hadn't died. So, it wasn't as if he had anything to actually apologize for.
