Surprisingly enough, Loki chose not to run from the scene, or at least not in the literal sense of the word. After all, why should he bolt like a coward? If he hadn't feared for Raina and Leland's safety, he could have leveled those SHIELD agents in a heartbeat. That was what he told himself as he shoved his way through a startled crowd, heading for an alleyway which he knew would lead him out of sight. One man stood directly in his path, holding one of those mobile communication devises that mortals were ever so fond of, filming him as he fled. Loki struck him with the blunt end of his scepter, sending the man and his cellphone crashing to the ground. The small gathered crowd gave a collective gasp. A few of the younger ones screamed. Their human minds were too dim and frightened by the commotion to realize that their best line of action would be to simply move.

They did eventually scatter. One man had tried to grab at his arm, apparently recognizing him, and Loki retaliated by shoving a knife through the human's hand. After that, the crowd spooked, giving Loki a chance to slip into the shadows unseen as they panicked. Or at least he assumed that he had remained unseen. He wasn't aware that he was currently being watched so closely.

Once he reached the alleyway, the God began moving at a quicker pace, winding through the litter-strewn passages. He didn't really know where exactly he was going. There was no place for him anymore. Not really. Once more he thought of how convenient having some sort of base would be. Even the dank underground tunnels that he and he allies had first gathered within during his invasion of earth would have been a welcome sight. Oh, how his standards have lowered. With a slight sigh, Loki briefly stopped. He felt guilty for leaving Raina and Leland behind once more, even though he knew that it was the wisest thing to do. Dragging them through the streets, bloodied and exhausted, was never going to work. And Raina had been pregnant. Norns, what a nightmare.

Seeing as the god dodged into the alleys, Garth sprinted across the road, nearly laughing as he noticed a car skid across the road in an attempt to avoid him. He simply shrugged in front of the already frightened people. "Don't you know how to have a bit of fun?"
It was truly amusing how he was a part of the human species, sometimes he didn't even act like them.
Spotting the man who had been stabbed, Garth quickly jogged to him.
"Now, you wouldn't mind if I borrow that, correct?" He asked the startled man, and without waiting for a response, he yanked the knife out of his hand.
"Thanks!" he said as a woman screamed and rushed to the injured man's aid.
Jumping into the alley way, Garth allowed himself to quicken his pace and catch up with the god, and yet keep his distance as well. He cleaned the blood off the knife with a finger, and took a few seconds to match his footsteps with the god in order to keep a better silence. He'd never had some sort of spy training, but common sense told him that matching your stride would allow minimal attention.
Now the job is to not trip over anything.
Good luck with that.
I'm not
that clumsy, made it over a road perfectly intact.
Yeah.

The man nearly sighed, his head could be quite difficult, but cut himself off in time. He flipped his new knife behind his wrist, he had no intention of even poking the god, but if it came to defending himself he wanted something to do it with.

Willa wandered through the alleyways before she saw Loki, she remembered being told about the attack on New York, he looked different, more subdued, she found that she wanted to help him, well maybe, maybe she could pick his pocket.

Not many people could sneak up on him. Even in his preoccupied state of mind, Loki's sharp sense of hearing was soon capable of picking up on the extra set of steps behind him. He could tell that they were attempting to be clever, matching their stride with his own, but there was just the tiniest fraction of a delay now and then. Not to mention the extra bit of noise that each step made. His own footsteps were not normally this noisy. The corner of his mouth twitched slightly in amusement, wondering who had decided to follow. Was it Romanoff, perhaps? Or the man with electricity flowing through his veins? Who ever it turned out to be, Loki would soon find out.

He turned abruptly. A small throwing knife had materialized within his pale hand, and he raised the silver bit of intricate metal with the intent of letting it fly toward his stalker. However, his hand faltered as his eyes landed on Garth. One of the civilians? He resisted the urge to laugh. Oh, and look. The mortal had even picked up the knife that he had plunged into one of the other humans' hand. Did he think that he was going to kill Loki with it? Finally put an end to the alien who destroyed much of New York? Very amusing.

"You had best run back to your crowd of idiots." Loki spoke clearly, his cold eyes never once leaving Garth's. "You will only die if you attempt to strike me with that." He said in reference to his own knife than the human was holding. His arrogance allowed him to fully believe that his skill with the knife would easily outrank that of a mortal. After all, Loki had been trained in combat for hundreds of years. And of course, the scepter was still held within his other hand. He did not once think that the man now in front of him was after anything other than his blood. That was what everyone was after, wasn't it? For over a year now, ever since Loki landed back upon this disgusting planet, he's been mercilessly hunted.

While the SHIELD scientist's voice didn't quite break through the hallucination Skyler was experiencing, the physical contact did. When his hand came in to contact with her shoulder, she jumped slightly, not sure where the sudden pressure had come from. It was enough to interrupt whatever drug was in affecting her, and then the Hydra scene faded away nearly as quickly as it had appeared. As Skyler regained her senses, and realized with no small amount of relief that it was just a hallucination, she also realized that it was a hallucination. As in, someone had drugged her and messed with her head.
"I'm gonna be sick," the teen muttered, lunging out of the chair and towards the sink as her stomach lurched unhappily.
After emptying the contents of her stomach, Skyler shuddered and exhaled slowly, before remembering the SHIELD scientist standing a few feet away.
"Sorry," she said, glancing apologetically in his direction. She noted the measuring glass of water in his hand, and realized with some guilt that he had probably a) witnessed the whole hallucination fiasco and b) had tried to find a way to help. And all she did was throw up in his sink.

Zack nodded. It all made sense, the mental exam, the training. He certainly wouldn't want to work with some unstable person in the field, nor someone who didn't have a clue what they were doing. "Is the whole secret-agent thing a full time job? Or would I still get to live with my family?"

Garth Ragnarson- Tags: Loki
As soon as Loki had turned around Garth had readied himself into a defensive stance. His face was stony and the knife snapped up from his wrist. Then suddenly realizing the god had not attacked, he relaxed and tossed the knife to the other hand.

"Nice to meet you too, Laufeyson," he said with a mock bow, his lips twitching into a smile. "I am right, no? I thought I forgot most of that pagan Norse stuff."
You're an idiot.
You mean
we?
Same thing, we're still going to die.
I beg to differ.

Tucking his hair behind an ear, Garth casually met the god's cold stare. "My crowd of idiots? Oh, yeah, those guys. I believe their real ownership would be to you, however. After all, you were the one to cause them to run around like chickens, aye?" The man used Loki's knife to point for reference.
"Well, I've had my fair share of street fights, so I'm not going to be the one to start anything. Anyways, God, I'm just a curious man. Even I myself know how foolish I am, not need to tell me, but that's what makes this boring life fun, isn't it." Garth smirked, if it ever did come to a fight, he knew how to use a knife and throw a punch, but he usually preferred to use his words. Then for a second the man looked down with a questioning face.

"That kinda got deep, didn't it?" He muttered to himself.
It was probably deeper in our thoughts.
I'll take your word for it. Did we sound like an idiot?
Probably.

He let out a small burst of laughter. Apparently your own mind can be amusing sometimes, if there was anything he'd learned just now.

Willa attempted to steal something from Loki's pockets but couldn't, there was nothing in them, her hands coming out empty, though, her hands were moving so he couldn't feel it.

Skye looked at Lincoln, wondering what he thought about her feelings for the Asguardian.
Lincoln smiled and shrugged, it was no business of his who Skye liked.

Natasha sighed and said," If he comes back, we will beat him, this time and get Thor since Mjolnirs electricity makes him fragile ." She leaned against the wall again and looked to Sam. Tasha thought," If Loki lays a finger on him,he will pay and that's a promise."

"Looks like our new electricity wilder may have been hit by Loki's scepter," Clint said pulling up the footage from not that long ago.

Lincoln watched Skye and smiled at her.

Mark Delaney Tags: Zack

"There are plenty of agents who don't live on base." Mark responded when Zack asked about still being able to live with his family. Sometimes an agent would be required to stay within the building for an extended period of time depending on their situation and the location of their family, but the vast majority of people who worked for SHIELD also had lives outside of it. Himself included. "I've got a wife and kids at home. I don't get to see them as much as I'd like to, but that's because our house is about a 4 hour drive from here." He said. He had wanted to move closer to work, but his wife had refused. After the Chitauri invasion, she didn't want to live close to the city. Mark couldn't really blame her. "If you live around here, though, then I don't think that it would be an issue."

Loki Laufeyson Tags: Garth | Willa

Loki visibly bristled when the mortal addressed him as 'Laufeyson'. While he could no longer consider himself to be an Odinson, as he now knew his previous title to have been a lie, to hear himself being correctly identified as a son of Laufey still felt like a slap to the face. How was it that many humans seemed to know things about his life that even he had not known just a few years before? It was a little unsettling. However, he quickly slid a mask of indifference in place. He did not want Garth to know that something as simple as a name had unnerved him to such as extent. I am no one's son.

"It isn't my fault that they were incapable of simply moving out of my way." He responded with a small raise of one dark eyebrow as Garth commented on the bit of chaos that he had left behind. The humans should have known to stay back. Instead, they crowded him, and some of them paid the price for their stupidity.

Loki continued to listen to the mortal, his expression growing mildly confused as their little conversation progressed into something that felt a bit one sided. Was the human talking to himself? The god blinked in surprise when Garth suddenly burst out laughing. As far as he could tell, nothing even mildly amusing had occurred, which only made Loki even more certain that Garth wasn't entirely right in the head. 'Brilliant. An insane person.' He thought sarcastically. He were about to voice such thoughts, but movement from the corner of his eye caught his attention, and he was shocked when a woman suddenly put a hand into one of his pockets. What in the nine realms? Was she... trying to steal from him? As they were located within a relatively deserted alleyway, he had no idea how she had ever hoped to accomplish such a thing without him at least noticing. It wasn't as if they were in a crowd.

---

Leo Fitz Tags: Skyler | Bobbi

Though the hallucinations that Skyler had been experiencing appeared to have passed, Fitz wasn't exactly surprised when nausea quickly followed. He stood near by, holding the glass of water and feeling rather useless as the poor woman threw up in their sink. For a brief moment, he glanced to Bobbi for help. If Jemma were here, she would know what to do, but he hadn't seen her since earlier in the day. He didn't even know what part of the building she was in.

"You don't have to apologize. You didn't anything wrong." He was quick to assure Skyler when she said that she was sorry. It wasn't like Skyler had planned on vomiting in their sink. Something was clearly wrong, and it wasn't her fault. His eyes glanced down at the measuring glass that he was still hanging onto. "You probably shouldn't have this anymore." He said regretfully, setting it down on the counter. Trying to eat or drink anything after such an episode would only upset her stomach again. "I think that we should get you to the medical wing." Fitz suggested. He could worry about cleaning the sink later. It wasn't important. What mattered was that Skyler was showing signs of being drugged, and if that were the case, then this was potentially very serious for a great number of reasons.
