Loki smiled slightly. "Thank you for saying that." He said, truly appreciating Evelyn's kind words. He took one of the pillows and sat down against one of the walls, leaving the makeshift bed for her. He knew that he wouldn't really sleep well anyway, too concerned that more agents would enter the cell and harm them while they slept. He did not notice that they were being watched, too exhausted by the day's events for his normally sharp senses to be working properly.

Carter didn't really know if he wanted someone to confront them or not. He didn't want anyone getting hurt, but he also didn't want Tom to get away. For a moment, he thought about trying to catch someone's attention and alerting them to the problem, but in the end, he did nothing but continue onward. This was his mess, and he was going to be the one to either fix it, or go down with it. When they finally were at the doors, Carter opened them and cautiously made his way outside with Tom. The sky had darkened by now, and other than the street lights and glow emitting from the building's various windows, everything was mostly cast in shadows. This was it. It was now or never. He suddenly swung his leg into the back of Tom's knee and attempted to tackle him. He knew that the other man was a much more experienced fighter, but if he could just get his hands on the gun, maybe he'd have some sort of chance. He just couldn't let him get away without at least fighting. He would never have been able to live with himself.
((It's up to you whether or not Tom gets away. You can have Carter be able to take him down, or have Tom swiftly defeat Carter. Just don't kill him, please. Other than that, I'm fine with anything. lol))
