Power Granting - Samael may give weaker creatures some passive abilities. For example, he gave War the power to glide short distances with the help of Shadowflight and granted him the knowledge to make use of the Chronospheres.

Chronomancer - Samael can use Chronospheres. With its power, he can slow down time, but not for long, as his knowledge of them is not as advanced as the old masters.

Serpent Hole Creation - Like Azrael, Samael can create Serpent Holes, portals that allow him to move from one point to another by traveling through another plane. His Serpent Holes are bloody-red in color.

Immense Strength - Samael is physically very strong, being a match for the Horsemen.

History: As a child, he was quite into the story of Captain America, and he has several mint-condition Captain America trading cards (he'd very proud) and almost always has them with him on the job. During the battle of New York, when it seemed that Loki had Thor trapped, Coulson tried to go up against the god of mischief. Unfortunately, Loki deceived him, as well, and stabbed him in the chest, killing him. His death wasn't in vain, though, as his sacrifice was key in bringing the Avengers together and winning the Battle of New York.
Director Fury, however, wasn't just going to let him die. They used experimental, and not always ethical, measures to bring him back to life, and wiped his memory so he believed that he'd been sent on vacation, rather than dying.
