"Can you really blame humanity, though? They have a tendency to fear what they do not understand, and we are mysterious beings. Honestly, were I a human, I would have done the exact same thing. It is their nature, and they could change if we only helped them by showing them we mean no harm. Yet we respond to their fearful attack with more violence, thus giving them reason to truly hate us. In that aspect, I feel both sides are guilty for this war and so I take no side. Do you still wish to thank me for helping you?" No doubt she wouldn't. Nobody cared for a person who could see from the enemy's point of view, cared even less for those who, like King, chose to be neutral. It was a lesson he had learned the hard way. His scar did not come solely from a human. One slash had been made by a human, that much was true. However, the one that had completed his X-shaped scar had been a gijinka. It was for this reason that King could see from both sides.

Aurelia listened as he spoke, agreeing with him. Her and the girl's brother wasn't apart of any of this and wanted to just explore the world together. "..I understand what you mean. We could all live together if we just open our eyes. However, doing so wont be easy. I believe things will turn out for the better. "Aurelia nodded at his question. " of course. I need to repay you some how."

Elijah smiled, looking around the camp. It wasn't half bad

King looked away with a sad smile, though such would always remain hidden beneath his mask. Sometimes, the object in question could be a curse, though it could also be a blessing when he needed it to be. In a way, the mask represented anonymity, the ability for anyone to be hidden behind the mask. He could be a human or a gijinka and nobody save for a psychic would be capable of knowing the truth. Surely a psychic would also know that he wore it for a reason, and so they would remain quiet. "I fear there is only one way for this war to end. Extinction for one of the sides. Neither will budge, for their anger is too great. The only thing I can do is save a select few from each side and take them into hiding. Perhaps someday, if people can see how well such a group can get along, happiness can be found and extinction can be averted. If not, at least I will have saved a few from the losing side. They could rebuild their lives in secret, protected by my King's Shield. If I am successful, I ask only that you keep such a secret hidden. That is how you may repay my kindness. If I cannot find those who wish to undergo such a trial, then consider your debt filled anyways."

Aurelia was shocked, not sure what he was getting at." Do you mean death on both sides? is that how you want bring everyone together?" she was slightly confused by his intentions, but couldn't help but to question him about. All she wanted was everyone to stop this silly fighting and live in peace if possible. "Also, why hide your face from the world? take off that silly mask of yours."Aurelia stood up from the ground

"What an awful request to make of me? Do you not think that there is a reason I wear this mask? Do you not realize that I am not the only member of my family to don such a mask? It is a tradition that in times of war, we wear these masks to conceal our faces. When we die, we are burned without our masks being removed. In this way, we share grief evenly for we do not know which of us has died. Perhaps to some it may be foolhardy, but for us it is a way to remind ourselves that war will always bring pain and suffering. Even the end will bring nothing but torment." King knew that he was rambling and he knew that few could understand his point of view, but that didn't matter. For in the end, he would become a storyteller. Whether it be the true story of humanity or the true story of gijinka, he would make sure that history was no longer written by the victor. He would make sure that all knew the reality of what had taken place, the truth about whichever side went extinct. If it were not minor differences, gijinka and human could not be told apart. So why did they fight one another when anyone could see this? Humans were too afraid, but the gijinka had only given them reason to be afraid. Retaliation should not have been the answer, but now one of the two would pay the price. And it was a steep price.

Aurelia couldn't help but to giggle at him."Im sorry, but i find you rather amusing~ Anyway, thats not a good enough reason to hide your face. What if you meet that special someone..would you still hide your face?" she grabbed her arm, smiling slightly. There was a huge improvement in her mood now."Also..it sounds a little harsh, but you may just pull it off. I hope what your trying to do works."

King lifted a shaking hand to his mask, grabbing a hold of it as if it were his own face. The shaking was not from anger but from fear. Fear of revealing his face to anyone, fear of showing the scar that marred his features in such an unpleasant manner. With a swift yanking motion, King pulled the mask away and his features were revealed. He was handsome, his fair complexion contrasting pleasantly with his jet-black locks and his eyes glimmering like amethysts despite all that he had seen. But that handsomeness must have been taken away by the X-shaped scar on his right cheek, a scar gained from human and gijinka alike. "Is this what you wished to see? The face of a man with no purpose in this war but to watch and wait for the victor to be decided? I can make my pretty words as pretty and convincing as I wish, but the truth is something I cannot change. Nobody would be willing to live with one another, not in the manner I would like them to. The war has progressed too far for that. This is the face of a rogue, marred by the blurred lines between both sides. X marks the spot, and it is a most unpleasant spot."

Aurelia manged to prevent her self from blushing when he revealed his face."we all have to sit and wait until this war is over. Although I dont be around any of this. also, yes. ..this is the face I wanted to see. The face of my hero." The meowstic smiled brightly

"I don't need to rest!" Lolita argued, struggling in Moonlight's grasp. That was a stupid idea, since she could easily fall down to the ground.
Robert sighed, coming out of his tent. "Lolita, everyone needs to rest." he huffed, examining Lolita for a minute. "Hold on, let me get some of the healing salve." he grumbled, going back inside his tent just to reemerge, carrying a small bottle of something and some new bandages.
