Pierce smiled softly as he continued, "The girl followed after the traveler for many years, over hot deserts and cold snowy forests. The two eventually falling in love during their journey, though neither would confess to the other. Since they were both to shy to tell their feelings they continued one with their travels, though they would drop small hints to each other along the way. The girl would occasionally fall asleep while leaning on the man's shoulder, or the traveler would pick the girl flowers in the morning so when she woke up they would be the first thing she saw. Now as more time went by they picked up on these subtle hints, deciding it was time to tell each other how they feel. The man went out the following morning to pick the most beautiful flowers he could find and write out his love to the girl, while the girl woke early and grabbed a stick; writing out her love for the man as well. When the man came back he saw her writing in the dirt with a stick, being curious he went over to her and read what she had wrote; 'My dearest love, I can't remember ever having felt like this before I met you. You are more than my Saviour, you are my deepest love the holder of my heart.I don't believe I could live without you...' She glanced up at him with red cheeks and a soft surprised smile. The man returned the smile before handing her the flowers and kissing her forehead, "My dearest, I feel the same about you. You are my sun, my eternal flame, making me shine brighter while you stand by my side. I fear my flame would die out without you, so my dear please stay with me for the rest of our lives." he told her and she nodded, tears springing to her eyes." he said softly, closing his eyes as he told the ending of the story.
