Amaka paused as her stomach growled and dropped her hands so they rested on the sides of her small body. She groaned and rolled off of the coach, standing up and grabbing er purse one more. You couldn't have been hungry earlier when I was out and about? She thought to her stomach and stalked towards the door, throwing it open. She moved into an alleyway, her stomach growling as she moved out into the street full of people. Her eyes darted from human to human, but restrained herself. She moved towards a different alleyway that held a greater chance of a lost human wandering down it.

Kaneki instinctively flipped before he fell, landing lightly on his feet. A leg was beginning to extend, but he realized where it was headed, and swiftly retracted it, a rush of displaced air blasting from the powerful motion. "...Are you okay?" He asked quietly, standing straight once again. He offered the girl a hand, gray eyes staring down at her emotionlessly.

Yuuka had sat at the counter of her bakery, her eyes half-lidded as she leaned forward with her head in her hands. The bakery was open, yet it was nighttime so closing would soon start when the last customer would walk through the doors. Usually customers had flooded in during the mornings, causing a lot of stress since Yuuka was currently the only person manning the register.
Her free hand ran through her blonde locks of hair, smoothening and flattening out and stray strands that managed to get loose from her golden locks.

Once she was up, Kaneki let go of her hand, glancing down at her once before nodding and turning around. "Goodbye."

'Ghoul, hm...?' He thought to himself, resting his hands in his pockets as he began walking back into the snow. The street was packed with the white, fluffy frost, but his light steps easily kept him from sinking in, the man's hood back up as he began walking down the sidewalk. There was still a hustle and bustle of Tokyo, so his form was swiftly lost within the crowd.

His eye wandered up to the sign...Akiyama Bakery. He glanced through the window. On the menu, was coffee.

The bell jingled as he walked in, his one half-lidded gray eye staring calmly at Yuuka. "A coffee, please."

Mayumi curiously glanced over, hazel eyes curious as she rolled beside Akira's desk. "What's that?" She asked, an eyebrow raised at the name. Kitsune...meaning fox.

"Welcome." Yuuka greeted the customer whom entered. The young man specified and odd request, since this place was not a coffee shop, but a bakery, yet didn't argue. She slid off of her stool, headed to the back, and retrieved the needed items to make his cup of coffee.
When she had returned, she set the cup down on top of the counter and stared at him intently.
He looked quite familiar... Kaneki Ken was it? His appearance fit the description; White hair, lonely empty gray.
"I don't normally serve coffee, so I suppose this one will be on the house."

Kaneki nodded, sitting at the counter, and dropping his hood. Staring down into the steaming black liquid, he allowed the steam to be absorbed into his face, merely thinking...thinking about his purpose in life. Perhaps he could get an actual job, like the one he had back in Anteiku...or maybe he could began fighting the CCG again? But wouldn't that prove him to be a monster? Evil?

"Thank you." He murmured, before taking the cup in both hands and taking a long sip of the coffee. His eyes wandered up to the rather pretty...Ghoul? Her scent was now evident to him. It was something like...his own. A half ghoul? He took another sip, masked by his mug, and his eyes widened slightly. Yes...another half-ghoul. Kaneki didn't realize that he was staring, too busy with his own thoughts.

Mayumi snorted. "And why is that?" She asked, rather rhetorically, leaning back into her seat. From what she could see of the masked girl, she had no discernable differences - definitely nothing to put her into the same league as the oddity that was Eyepatch. Her eyes twinkled at the thought of the man. What an interesting specimen!

The young woman raised an eyebrow as she caught his gaze. "Is there a problem, sir?" She asked, keeping it formal as she addressed Kaneki. Yuuka sat back down on her stool and leaned on the counter, her head propped up in the palm of her hand once more.
At this point both had realized who, or more specifically what they were, but it didn't appear like either would press on the subject matter.
"You can come again if you'd like, for more coffee." Yuuka mentioned, giving her fellow half-ghoul a soft smile.
