She looked at the women. Had something shed said been funny? She blinked and then at the mention of her mother she looked down. She then shook her head. "My mother past away last year."

She nodded in response as the girl explained about her mother. "Explains why you're here looking for your dad. Who actually wants to be in an orphanage these days?", she said rhetorically. Selena opened the door wider, gesturing for Snow to enter.

She looked at her and stepped inside. She hadn't been told much about her father but what she did know was very little.

She closed the door behind Snow, starting to walk up the stairs to the apartment. Halfway up , she turned and glanced back at the young girl. "Come on up; I'll make some tea and we can chat while Sherlock is out."

She nodded at the women's words feeling more nervous than she thought she'd be.

Once the two were in the apartment, Selene gestured for Snow to sit down and walked into the kitchen. She carefully examined the cups, finally choosing a non contaminated one and started to brew some tea.

Snow sat down quietly and looked round noticing the tattered wall with many bullet holes.

Eventually the kettle boiled and Selene poured the boiling water into the cup. She added two sugars and some milk, calmly carrying it into the living room and placing it on the coffee table near to Snow. She sat in the armchair across from her. "Your mum told you about Sherlock being your father", she said simply.

She looked at the women. "Yes only a little bit." She replied.

She nodded her head, looking at the child with her analytic green-blue eyes. "She didn't want you to be in a foster home after she died."
