[Phoenix's Rebirth]

Rosi watched in horror as Dawn fell to the ground, and as Ryeka attacked the animal with ice. The animal then tried to run, but Ryeka chased after it. Everything went silent. Rosi popped from behind the line of trees to see Dawn struggling to stand, but failing. The ground was stained with blood. Dawn's injury looked bad, and painful. She'd been hit in the hip. From a distance, Rosi heard the animal cry out, and Ryeka attack it.

Slowly and nervously, Rosi ran over to Dawn, trying not to cry. Seeing her friend hurt upset her. Without realizing it, Rosi began making snow fall from the sky. It wasn't heavy, just gentle.

Dawn shivered slightly when a snowflake landed on her arm but then she relaxed as it began to heat up slightly. She opened her eyes to see Rosi standing above her. "It's fine." she said weakly and smiled up at her. She looked down at the blood pooling around her and muttered "Oh crap." which sounded funny coming from a wolf. She wouldn't be able to turn back to human till her hip healed or it would mis-shape crookedly.

Ryeka knew she shouldnt be doing this.. using her powers so openly. But it made it so much easier. The ice was weakening the moose, with each peice hitting creating a small open wound. She picked up her pace a little bit as the moose's pace slowed. She circled it off to one side and the moose stopped running. It now concentrating only on defending itself. She darted around it in a circle, it tried to keep facing her but it was too weak to keep up with her speed. She lept at it again in a moment before it turned to her direction. She bit into its throat, the moose no longer had the power to toss her off. She clenched her teeth completely shut and the animal fell to the ground with a thud. She stood over it panting.

Dawn heard the distant cry of the elk letting out a bellow of pain and she knew that it was either near death or Ryeka had killed it alreay. She lowered her head once again back to the ground, coughing slightly in pain.

After a few moments, Rosi calmed down, but was still sad that Dawn was hurt. Both their coats were beginning to turn white from the falling snow. The snow would not stop falling until Rosi wanted it to. When she finally saw their fur and looked up at the sky, she smiled a little and stopped the snowfall. Rosi shook the snow off her, and then asked, "Do you want me to go get some meat for you?"

Derex didn't care. Nothing would change, he concluded. As soon as his wounds healed, he'd leave this place, leave Kaiya, and go on living as he had--alone. It seemed to be his one and only decision. After a few hours, the pain subsided completely, and he allowed himself to fall asleep on the sofa.

Ryeka ran back in the direction where she came from, tword Rosi and Dawn. At a sprint it didnt take her long to get there. She stopped alongside Dawn and noticed the snow on the ground. "Why is it snowing..?"she said to no one directly. Dawn didnt look too good... "You think you will be able to walk?"she asked.

Dawn groaned in pain, her hip sending waves of shock and hurt up and through her body. "I... Don't think.. So..." she managed through short pants as she tried to breathe without hurting.

Haru was looking around when he saw his brother dash out into the sky searching for something again.

Kaiya smiled and noticed she had been cut but the spike on Rama's wing, "Oh well, at least I've got what I need." SHe got her notebook and put it in the folds of her uniform then ran off to find some other beastmen.

Mia walked gazing up at the stars, running her fingers through her now black hair. She would most likely be unrecognisable from yesterday night, just the way she planned. But then again the only give away where the gold feathers in her hair,as well as her golden wings closed tightly behind her back. Mia could easily pass a a human, one way or another.
