Spenser nodded running to get the ladder. Suddenly he screamed falling to the ground. Jimmy was sitting on the ladder, The ghost again. Spenser backed away using his hands like a crab walk.

Chessa

As Chessa awoke from her sleep, she could feel the white island sand from the palms of her hands. She wondered, "How did I get here?" and then she remembered. The plane crash, that dreadful event, branded into her memory like a farmer would brand a cow. She remembered the fire, the helplessly pitiful screams of sheer panic, the flight attendants pleading everyone to stay calm when it was themselves the needed to calm down, and her grandmother, her poor helpless "Gram" who had risked her life to save Chessa's. Chessa found herself with tears dribbling down her face just from the memory.

Chessa struggled to push herself up from her pretzel-like position on the sand, and then she found herself aimlessly drifting away from the beach, to the forest that surrounded it. She was in a different world now, the ground was hard; she had to watch her step to prevent her from tripping on one of the massive tree roots that randomly blocked her path. Sometimes, the tropical vegetation was too thick and mangled to walk through, so she had to crawl through it, scraping her knees on the heartless thorns and getting her hair caught in about twenty different places. She had finally found her way to a trail when she heard people in the distance. Her stomach made the sound of a hibernating bear, being woken too early from its deep winter slumber. "Maybe they have food! Maybe they'll feel sorry for me; I'm sure I look scrawny enough" she thought.

The next thing Chessa knew she was on the jungle floor. In the blur of a world above her, a boy and a girl were talking sarcastically to one another. Then she heard the boy say, "I'm sorry." She pulled herself up what seemed like a million miles until she was staring the boy in the face. "It's not your fault," she replied, "I wasn't looking where I was going."

"What the?" Karin turned her head toward the scream, running to see what was the matter. "Spenser, what was that all about?" She asked in the same pose she was standing in before.

Spenser looked up knowing it would sound weird if he said he saw Jimmy's ghost."Uhh...I hit my head i think." He said rubbing his head."Sorry i screamed. He said looking down avoiding Karin's eyes knowing if he looked in her eyes he would break or she would know he was lieing.

"Be careful... we don't want you to end up like Jimmy." Karin sighed, kneeling down next to him. She herself didn't even look at his eyes. It wasn't because she was mad at him or something but it was because she wanted to avoid laughing... she just had a sudden urge to.

Spenser nodded."Yeah okay thanks!" He said getting up and helping Karin up before grabbing the ladder with one arm and putting the other on her shoulder.

Winter was with Damon."What do you thinks taking Spenser so long?" She asked trying to distract herself.

"You seem a little on edge, you know?" Karin looked at him, her face telling him her confusion about that.
