"The first few times?" I asked with a weak yet exasperated tone, thinking it had already hurt two times two many, though I would likely have to endure a couple more of the painful transitions. Getting to my feet, I ran a shaky hand through my hair, it slightly damp with sweat from the strain of changing between forms. I gently patted Mare on the nose, assuring her I would be okay. Glancing back at Tera, I had yet to see Astrid behind me.

Ralph cleared his voice for attention, "Why would you do that to him if he has to endure- hell?"

Astrid
The misery on his face during the shift was etched into my mind, just as his scream was still in my ears. He had yet to notice me, leaving me standing beside Stormfly, in some hysterical state between tears and laughter. Some would never think that the tough Astrid Hofferson would never be affected this way, but when you give your heart to someone, it can change things. I let tears slip down my face, wanting to go to him, but I was frozen in place, unable to make my legs listen. After what seemed like an eternity, I stumbled forward a few steps.

Ashley took another deep breath, "Y-you are a were-dragon I have met one before, now actually explain yourself!"

Astro stared at ashley before nodding to her question on what he was, sitting back but not speaking in a language she would be able to understand very well. He had been secluded from humans for so long, he had forgotten how to speak proper english. Technically, he never actually learned how since he was taken as a child. But, he did learn how to spell atleast, so, he picked up a stick and wrote on the ground: "I am Astro Hofferson... I think."

Mare's tail wagged gently and she pushed the sketch book closer to hiccup now.

Ashley sat back, "I'm Ashley, I don't think I have met you before but you look familiar."

Astro nodded slightly as he sat there before sliding his foot over the words to erase them and write: "I'm waiting for a girl I encountered earlier. She left her axe behind. I'm simpily going to return it to her and depart. I do not intend to stay." He wrote.

Ashley thought for a moment, "Do you know her name?"

Hiccup
I let out a breath, hearing Ralph try to converse with Tera. It was harder to understand his dragon dialect in my human form, though I could still create a muffled words. Hearing stumbling footsteps behind me, I whipped around, stumbling on my prosthetic leg. Struggling to regain my balance, I looked up to see Astrid coming my way. An unfamiliar glint in her caught in the dim light, tears brimming under her ocean blue iris's. "Astrid," I breathed, letting out a sigh of relief. Today, it just felt so good to see her beautiful face. I broke into a light jog, meeting her somewhere between where we both once stood.

Astro shook his head, but erased the words and managed to do a rough sketch of astrid in the dirt.

Mare picked up the book and pencil and moved towards the two, whining gently to try and get hiccup to take it back.
