"Even one of the higher ups didn't know anything? That is very strange. It must have been a very small group that knew about it in the first place if there was something else that went on," Mikasa said as she looked down toward the ground for a moment. Something didn't seem right at all. Why would something like this be kept so secret unless they didn't want anyone to know. Maybe it was to keep the Military Police and Garrison from suspecting anything, but she was sure that if it was related to titans or titan shifters it would grab the attention of the Military Police right away. It could be best to keep something big like that among only a few people.

For some reason, he wasn't sure why, Jean allowed Marco to wipe his tears away. "No, it wasn't you. I just....I don't understand how you see all this in me when I can't see it myself," he replied, trying to explain the reason for his tears.

Zeke nodded and took off his jacket. Setting it down on the table, he moved the harness from his chest and pulled his arm out of the sleeve so that Salazar could get a clean shot of the limb. He hoped and prayed that this would work, but even the thought of becoming a Titan was exhilarating and terrifying all at the same time.

Armin gave Mikasa a nod, and took a deep breath. "You're probably right, and it would make sense, too." he told her, his voice still lowered. Glancing off to the side, he thought a moment before mumbling, "And speaking of Zeke, I'm wondering where he is.." it probably wasn't much to worry about, but he wondered anyway. Hopefully he had gone to get some rest, Armin knew that Zeke also needed the sleep, just like every scout on that mission. "Well, he was with me just about the whole mission, i can't imagine Zeke getting the chance to go to that cellar..."

Mikasa listened to her friend as he spoke about Zeke and how he couldn't have known. "But he could know who would know the information that was found if that's what they truly did, but I'm sure they're keeping it quiet to keep the rest of the Military off the scouts backs," she said in a low voice. It all made sense to her, but it was all a matter of being true or not. It seemed quite likely that these events could have taken place, but who was involved and where that information would be now was the fuzzy area. "Do you know of any researchers around here besides Hanji? They might have this information since I doubt they would give it to Hanji directly if they wanted to keep things quiet."

"I think it's because it's hard for people to see the good in themselves. You're really hard on yourself jean." He said easily, sheilding his slightly shorter friend from the view of thers with his body so he wouldn't be embarassed, as most people where when they get upset and crowds are attracted.

"Well I had to be hard on myself! You don't know what my life was like growing up. I had to be tough to change who I was....to become better. You've met my mother; she hasn't changed a bit since I was a kid," Jean explained, grateful that Marco was blocking him from the public as he tried to get himself back together.

Zeke nodded then flinched slightly as the needle slid under his skin. He grunted and grit his jaw, gripping his arm tightly as he willed himself to keep still and not move. He couldn't afford to move; it could mess everything up and then where would they be?

marco sighed and though his friend seemed very upset he stayed calm and radiated good vibes. '' I know jean, i'm sorry.'' he just didn't want his friend to be sad or upset in any way. he pulled fingers through his hair and glanced at the sky '' I wasn't thinking.''

"Marco...please, don't be upset. It wasn't your fault. I just.....You know, I'm amazed you hang around me so much, with how many times I'm in a bad mood or something," Jean said quickly as he tried to make a joke out of it. Dragging an arm across his eyes, he sniffed hard to try and dry his eyes.

'' i'm not. i'm just..tired and I made you cry. '' marco felt bad, and it didn't help that he was forever doomed to be sleepy. ' I like hanging out with you, you make me happy.'' was his response which was the truth, and the exact reason they were friends.
