Sakura sat in the hallway which held the door where Soata was working. She sighed and held a very simple ring up as she looked at it curiously. "Now, I wonder why you were on my hand when I woke up?" Sakura flicked it up in the air before letting drop in her hand. "I really don't have the faintest idea as to why."

Soata finally decided to just give up on his work and just growl in frustration. He hated this. This story had so much potential but he could not got one single line right. Twenty hard solid chapters into this story and gee refused to get it wrong. "SAKURA!" He yelled loudly, head on the table. "PLEASE COME HERE." Soata angrily snaps shut the leatherbound books and more books and pushed them away from himself to stand up.

Even though he was trying his best to remain calm, Alois's fear of the darkness forced tears to well up in his eyes. Through the darkness he noticed two glowing red eyes approaching, and he knew immediately that they belonged to Akuma. He had only seen the demon hound like this a few times in his lifetime. He only began changing into his arch form when he was was extremely angry, or when he felt that he or Alois were in danger. "Akuma, have you dealt with the attacker yet?" He asked, his voice coming out as a weak whisper.

Akuma shook his head, ears perked upwards and listening for any sounds other then ones alois made. Faint markings of fur visible on his body and with one hand he was loosening his clothes ever so slightly.

Alois nodded, then quieted down again so he wouldn't distract Akuma. He wiped a tear off of his cheek, and continued listening for some sort of noise that would indicate where the attacker had gone. Finally, out of the corner of his eye, he was just barely able to make out a dark blur jump on top of a shelf, knocking over empty cardboard boxes of what Alois assumed was supposed to look like dog food. He covered his head as the attacker began firing again, this time aiming at Akuma.

Akuma heard the sounds and quickly jumped over the counter and rolled behind a shelf, snarling faintly. He looked around, able to make out the image of the attacker threw scent and his eyes narrowed as he stood up. He easily removed his tie and gloves before the rest of his clothes dropped and took.on his arch demon form and slammed his massive paw down upon the attack, snarling. The building barely able to hold akuma even with him laying down.

"Yes?" Sakura opened the door and walked in with her hands folded behind her back. Her grip on the ring tightened as she looked at Soata with a sharp stare. "What do you need?"

"Clean up my desk and put that stuff in its respective place." He snaps, standing at the window, his back to her as he ran a hand through his golden blonde hair. "Is my calendar free today?" Soata glances back, green eyes cold and calculating, holding no emotions or feeling beyond his resting scowl.

Alois was lucky to have covered his head in time, because just a moment after he did so, debris when flying everywhere. He figured it was from Akuma shifting into his huge arch demon form, and destroying several of the shelves in the process. He heard another curse, and lifted his eyes to see the Shadow of Akuma's paw crashing to the ground and pinning the other demon down. Alois silently watched the fight, just barely able to make it out. The attacker managed to kick Akuma hard in the leg, then reach for the gun that had been knocked out of his hand.
