(Can I screw with the laws of everything realistic and have Elaine still be 21 instead of 51-freakin-years-old? XDD)
Phantom Star
Star hadn't moved in days, except when she 'turned on', looked up and let out a pre-recorded scream whenever anyone came near her. She had to time it right so they wouldn't have to fix the sensors--Star hated it when she didn't have control over her body with all her soul...if she had one left. It felt like every day the soul she once had was being drained out of this metallic, suited body until nothing was left. Though years ago she thought the nightmare was over, just being back was like a whole new kind of torture.
There had been a time that Star thought this was amazing, to be somewhere that she was appreciated once more. But that turned out to be wrong, she was hated for how 'stupid' she was. To be a butterfly, yet 'scary'? And this made her feel worse about herself. Everything now made sense, she was forever meant to be treated so poorly and never given a chance to maybe...have a new eye. A suit that wasn't burned or ripped. But no, this had to be a horror attraction now, and staying damaged would be the best choice.
Either that, or she could wait for when she stopped functioning no matter how much she was fixed up and be scrapped, replaced with a new one that was even a completely different thing with a different name. But would anyone care? Would anyone remember the burnt butterfly, the terrible excuse for a 'scary animatronic'? Would anyone...be sad that she was gone?
Nobody would care, nobody would remember her, nobody would be sad. But maybe, just maybe someone others will care, remember her, and even be sad if she was gone? And so she always kept that in her mind, letting out a scream every day and hoping someone would see that she needed someone to be there...anyone at all?
(Woah this is more like a story, not a roleplay! Gotta make my posts shorter XD)
