Karkat was about to speak again, but froze when Logan mentioned mutants. He straightened up and raised an eyebrow, slightly confused. "M-mutants?" He asked, his face turning from anger, to confusion, to surprise. "What do you mean?" He asked.

Raven floated over to Karkat the cashier to buy her limited edition Pegasus. "Can you-" Asked Raven but she stopped when she heard 'mutants' "huh? Mutants?"

Haku was quietly moving through the isles, curious about the contents of them, it had been a long while since he was in the human world, after all. When a girl bumped into him, he stumbled slightly before turning to face her. "Oh..? It's quite alright, Mabel." He offered a warm smile. "I am the spirit of the Nigihayami Kohakunushi river...but Haku is fine.....it's a pleasure to meet you.."

"Ooh you're a spirit, that's pretty cool," said Mabel. "Well, it's nice to meet ya, Haku. Are you looking for something or are you working here?" Mabel asked. she was beginning to think this Haku guy was pretty cute.

Haku softly nodded his head, "Yes, I am a spirit.." He responded, then at the question, he softly shook his head, "No, I'm not looking for anything, I work here. It was nice of you to ask though, Mabel."

"Oh, OK. Maybe we can work together!" Mabel cheerfully asked.

Haku gave a small, yet warm, smile at the suggestion and he nodded his head, "I like that idea....,let's work together."

"Yah...." The Canadian trailed off in his words. He didn't mind that Rose was a hybrid of a human and wolf. He only looks for personality and not looks. "So Uh, what do you want to do now?"

Logan gave a small nod and replied "It's what we're called because of our abilities". Wolverine was taking another gulp of root beer when someone else's voice caught his attention. It was a girl about to pay for something. "Yeah, what about em'?" he growled, narrowing his eyes.

Karkat tilted his head slightly. This was strange. He didn't know that the human race was full of mutants as well. He looked down at his bright red apron and sighed, reminding him of the years of teasing because of his blood color. A little weight was taken off of him when he found out human blood was the same color as his, but the thought of the legends of his ancestor- The Sufferer. He was killed because of his blood color. The Sufferer was a mutant. Kankri was a mutant. Karkat was a mutant. He shook his head, and peered up as an unfamiliar voice spoke up.
