Mabel was skipping down the isles looking for someone to help. She bumped into this Japanese guy who looked about her age. "Sorry about that," said Mabel "I'm Mabel."

Haku was quietly moving through the isles, curious about the contents of them, it had been a long while since he was in the human world, after all. When a girl bumped into him, he stumbled slightly before turning to face her. "Oh..? It's quite alright, Mabel." He offered a warm smile. "I am the spirit of the Nigihayami Kohakunushi river...but Haku is fine.....it's a pleasure to meet you.."

"My brother doesn't give a damn about who I am like what everyone does and basicly every single person in this world doesn't know who I am. I'm technically worthless and when I try to speak they all look around asking 'who said that?'. Also Whenever someone mentions me others say 'who?'. Really I'm just invisible. And just to add onto that since my brother always teases the others and I look just like him.... They always think I'm him and beat me up every single day. It's all excruciating." He then broke into tears and looked away. He was a bit happy that Rose was somewhat related to him in a way but it wasn't enough to make him feel any better. Realizing that he never shares that much info about him with anyone who he just meet made his violet eyes widen slightly. They grew calm again since Matthew didn't want to deal with the fact of trying to take everything he just said back.

"Hmm" Logan grunted, listening to Karkat explain a few things. Even if the story was the short version it peeked his interest. When Karkat asked about him however, he still had his little issue. "You sure about that?" he asked, lifting his left hand and balling it into a fist letting his claws slide out and then gave a slight shrug "As far as my past goes, I can't remember a darn thing". Logan retracted his claws again, and continued "But I was in New York before I ended up here, working with the X men".

Karkat flinched slightly as Logan unsheathed his claws, but quickly relaxed as he realized that they weren't much different than Nepeta's retractable cat claws. He shifted slightly as he listened- more interested than he actually wanted to be. He looked down at his own, boring, grey skinned hands, but when he mentioned the X-Men, Kar perked up. "Who's the X-Men?" He asked, looking around the area, almost feeling a little nervous to find out.

Logan was quite surprised Karkat didn't freak out. "Bunch of mutants like me" Logan explained, leaning on the counter of the till, "They help run a special school for mutant kids, gives em' a place to fit in, since society doesn't like us too much. They also protect it from people who might want to use us to their advantage". Logan checked to make sure no one had seen his claws, if the cops came there would be a whole lot of crap to deal with.
