Taking a gulp of root beer before, Logan asked "What kind of long story?". It seemed like Karkat didn't necessarily want to talk about it but he asked anyways, might as well, it was going to be a long day after all. The man began to think about his own long stories, and he began to get annoyed with himself. Like always he tried remembering his past but couldn't. All he remembered up until now, was the day he woke up on the ground, couldn't remember what happened before then and couldn't remember how he got there.

Mabel was skipping down the isles looking for someone to help. She bumped into this Japanese guy who looked about her age. "Sorry about that," said Mabel "I'm Mabel."

Haku was quietly moving through the isles, curious about the contents of them, it had been a long while since he was in the human world, after all. When a girl bumped into him, he stumbled slightly before turning to face her. "Oh..? It's quite alright, Mabel." He offered a warm smile. "My name is Haku...it's a pleasure to meet you.."

Karkat looked up at him, a strange combination of irritation and humor crept across his face. "You wouldn't believe it if I told you." He said, taking a long gulp of root beer. "but long story short, we destroyed our world, got stuck on that stupid meteor, died a couple of times fighting, etc., etc." He said, gesturing with his hands as he spoke. "But what about you. Everybody working in this store seems to be a freak or have some serious problems, but you, you seem relatively normal. What's your story?" He asked, leaning over the till slightly.

"Hmm" Logan grunted, listening to Karkat explain a few things. Even if the story was the short version it peeked his interest. When Karkat asked about him however, he still had his little issue. "You sure about that?" he asked, lifting his left hand and balling it into a fist letting his claws slide out and then gave a slight shrug "As far as my past goes, I can't remember a darn thing". Logan retracted his claws again, and continued "But I was in New York before I ended up here, working with the X men".
